No.

You don't dictate the rules of the debate forum.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

The Rules

When making the opening post – Each member defines the topic in their own words, and proposes their position. Debaters should not directly question their opponent. No links to outside sources are allowed.  There should be no graphic images or media.

The second, third, and fourth set of posts will consist of each participant expanding upon their position, developing their tone, and making an argument. Questions to the adversary are allowed, as are links (no more than two please in any post.) Embedded graphic images are allowed but they must be properly attributed… which still counts as part of the word count.

The fifth (closing) post may include any direct answers, and a summary of their argument, but no links are allowed.

Random staff will be judging the body of the debate and after consultation and consensus, a winner will be declared.

In this debate all post will be limited to 800 words. Each entire link counts as a single word.  Each participant has 24 hours to respond to their opponents post.

I challenge you to a debate.

Topic, how the democrat party is actually a socialist front.

You should limit the number of direct questions per post that can be asked to the opponent, with answers expected at penalty of points lost if ignored. Limit them to 1 or 2 to avoid the tactic of eating up an opponent's response-space with a distracting flood of questions.

And, while it's fair that you two discuss possible rules, I think you should agree to let Maxmars take you input and formalize what he thinks is best, to be posted in the debate thread and followed without contention.

Those are the rules written by the mods.

I just copied and pasted.

This guy should moderate.
I am sorry but I simply do not trust this sites actual moderators.

I should clarify, I am not sure I trust maybe one of the most prominent moderators.
