Yam Jam!

I have had sweet potato casserole with melted marshmallows on top several times, and I am just noticing how weird that food combo is. Who came up with it I wonder? Perhaps it was a happy pantry accident. "Hey you got your yam in my marshmallow fluff!" "No, you got your marshmallow fluff on my yam!" Shared epiphany and knowing look...

Funny thing, my currently visiting central european parents in law keep giving me the wierd look when I'm having peanut butter and fig jam sandwich, like "what the hell are you doing you poor thing" and yet PBJ is such a normalcy for you north americans that it didn't even got mentioned as a strange food pairing.

It is a very strange pairing indeed, but it sounds awesome. Thing is I'm so pro sweet potatoes that I could eat them in any way possible with anything on top. Love sweet potatoes. Love all food really

Why are Americans so shocked at butter in sandwiches?

Cucumber sandwiches with crusts cut off on white bread is quintessentially English.

With a jug of Pimm's.
