I'm not one of the people that think CoViD-19 was orchestrated, but I'm one of those sure that there were many people profiting from it, and here we have one of those cases.
Spain's former Transport Minister, José Luis Ábalos, was sentenced to 24 years in prison for a corruption involving contracts to supply state owned entities with face masks, with the minister and two other people organising a scheme that included fixed payments (he received 10000 Euros each month for his "fixed expenses", for example) and other benefits.
I suppose this shows that at least in Spain they are not afraid of going after corrupted politicians, in this case connected to the present Prime Minister (or president of the Government, as they call it in Spain).
