Confirmation of this from the aunt or mother or some such of the girls, saying she had a softball-size lump. Can't be arsed to find the source, it's somewhere in the midden-heap.

Seems to suggest it's the girls who were doing the attacking, not the Bulgarians, who were just defending themselves, and which the video evidence clearly corroborates.

It's not the best English.

Police would have gone back and looked at other CCTV and taken into account the witness statements.

At the end of the day, the evidence suggests it was the neds who were in the wrong.

And by the sounds of it, the mother also had a pop.

If you go watch her TikTok, that Ultra Budgie so kindly posted, you will see her pal carrying a mash hammer around committing crimes, so they probably all carry weapons about town/streets like every other little ned.
 
And I think you may find it's the little neds whose crowdfunding reached about £65,000 because of misplaced racist donations, not the Bulgarian fellow.
 
I cannot see how he could be compensated, as no assault was charged, so criminal injuries would be negligible, if paid at all.

Could be conflicting reports, or possibly both, I suppose.
 
If another girl had been hit on the back of the head, Police would have looked into that.
 
My bet is they are making it up in an attempt to justify their actions, but video, CCTV, and witness statements blew their stupid lies out of the water.

At the end of the day, this is about racism disguised as patriotism, and Scotland is simply not that racist.

The older girl is saying he battered her. That might be true if they had some sort of run in before the younger one did what she did and said what she said.
He doesn't sound particularly bothered, approaching her and saying 'show the knife, show the knife'.

I also agree with some of your points midicon, it's not completely cut and dry, and a lot of facts remain to be disclosed.

But that doesn't mean the Bulgarian people were at fault or doing anything wrong.

Nor does it mean that the Police are not in possession of all the facts.  

It does, however, scream extremely poor parenting.

I mean if they did not know she's carrying around half the garden shed, that's terrible, and if they did, that's even worse.

And again, given the TikToks, it looks to be rather a regular occurrence, her or people with her carrying serious weapons that is.
