Well, Putin clearly wants his old USSR back, and all satellite countries they controlled. He may just be testing the mettle of NATO response to Poland by air. Who knows what that mental case has going on in his head from day to day?
I worry about the "Article 5" NATO alliance not all standing in unison against a madman with nukes, and possibly in poor health. That...we should all shiver about.

It is weird because Polak/Polka just means man/woman from Poland in Polish but in English it means slur/dance. I suppose context is important. Best to avoid unless you are from there, haha!
Edit: And thinking about this a bit, isn't it weird that English says "oh no the thing you call yourself is a slur, don't say that it's racist"? Maybe that's the thing that's racist. Eh. People are weird. Whadda ya gonna do.

Is "Yanks' a racist thing?
Or "Limeys "Jocks" and so on?
Is anyone offended by those?
I suppose I'd draw a line at "Sheep shaggers" though.

Getting a bit off topic, but another one I've heard is Japanese people being confused about why calling them "Japs" or "Nips" is a slur. As in: you call British people "Brits", and that's not bad, and this country is Nippon, so what's the problem?
Okay I'm going to just quit this sub-thread now because I feel it is flirting with danger haha, even though it's all with the best intentions.

BITD in old New York, the Dutch minority were called "John Cheese" in a derogatory manner...
The Dutch mostly derided the moniker. It repeated it incessantly back to the nasty, racist Americans...

This whatever way you look at it appears to be an excuse for the usual European border shuffle which takes place every generation or two. It generally kills of a few million and then everyone is friends again and profits are made from the reconstruction. I think after Russia gets Odessa back in its orbit it should calm down . But the state of the West historically speaking at its civilization stage looks like they will use war as a political tool to keep the system going as long as possible, at least this seems to be the general consensus. Declining empires are dangerous at least on paper historically speaking..
It looks like article four is activated, which isn't surprising since Ukraine seems to be on the backfoot , and to keep it going more NATO forces would have to get involved to keep the Russians back. So the propaganda should be ramping up to get the relevant populations ready. It was probably already decided what would happen months ago. I will take it seriously when data centres get taken out and the coms go down. BREAKING: Poland DECLARES NATO Article 4 Against Russia; Lithuania Airspace BREACHED | EnforcerNews
