This happened about an hour ago , I would think the invasion of Polish airspace might trigger article 5. looking at the price of gold It might be someone knows something. Ground reports say that NATO jets are responding.

It depends on the circumstances.

If Russia deliberately and clearly attacked Poland with weapons, that would almost certainly trigger Article 5.

But airspace violations like drones, stray missiles, or jets crossing the border don't automatically trigger it.

I agree with post by EXETER.   Unfortunately, Polish airspace is a shorter route to a Ukrainian target in some cases.  Or at least less conspicuous.  

As for another posting in this thread that the price of gold is high now, possibly inferring that this drone attack caused the price spike of gold, gold actually spiked to $3700 early yesterday well before this occurred.  It is actually down a bit after the drones were taken down.  Gold and Silver prices generally react to monetary devaluations of world currencies.  And that is obviously another discussion to have on this forum...

And referring to Polish as "Pollocks" could be defined by Polish as maybe a bit demeaning.  I am not being confrontational...just want this site as professionally written as possible.  None of us want another demise like ATS.
