This is too little too late for any real weight.

These companies actively manipulated users' moods, news 'minutiae,' and definitely upset quite a few people... on purpose... just for 'research'... welcome the their multi page policies.

Their mistake was targeting an identifiable audience segment... greed will do that.

Now they are on dangerous - but government-protected - ground.

Far too much time has passed while "IGNORING" the abuse... I think it's the regulators who must be punished.

The truth is I would opt for no punishments with the proviso of full disclosure of the both the reports regarding the basely abusive practices, and how the government 'decided' to keep this quiet and contained.
