I expect that this prominent "ring" of self-entitle elites is, in effect, on a ledge...
with so many strings attached to them that none of their "associates" want them to go over.
(although that would be some schadenfreude I might actually get behind.)

We still have Epstein because Israel is Israel, but perhaps a better class of politician limits the destructiveness.
