The problem is, a lot of if not most politicians are entirely ego and materially driven.
Furthermore, most of the hoi polloi is the same way, as is the case for all of human history.
That said, as the material world is functioning 'as it's supposed to,' and we are in this Aeon of crass materialism and hyper-density, there is NO Natural ending for this Play except for it to all crash down.

Add. look at the rampant corruption, theft, and bad behaviour from most sides? It's been normalised, and I dont think there is anyway to save the current systems, myself.

If I might offer...

There seems to be a polarized dichotomy of extreme views.

On the left, an unsalvageable descent into an authoritarian police state is feared.

On the right, an unsalvageable descent into anarchistic collectivism is feared.

I should like to hope that neither is correct?

It just seems like reality is (almost always?) more subtle than that.

Finally! I'm hopeful that this traunch will contain sufficient fodder for strongly-worded memes and outrage threads, such that their very undeniability finally moves the needle and evokes the fundamental change we need.

With two diametrically opposing forces, lacking the will to hold real discussions,  and a few smart people on the sidelines, the only possible outcome is eventual self destruction.

Those with eyes to see on here keep repeating, both sides are corrupt, just one seems less corrupt and more rational.

This came out in the last day or so.

Ghislaine Maxwell claimed in court documents that 25 male associates of Jeffrey Epstein made “secret settlements” to avoid prosecution.
The explosive allegation appeared in a December 17 habeas corpus petition submitted by Maxwell’s attorneys seeking to overturn her criminal conviction. The full petition was published online by Courthouse News Service, a news organization that covers litigation.
Maxwell, a British socialite and long-time associate of Epstein, was convicted by a federal grand jury in 2021 on five counts related to sex trafficking and grooming minors. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022. Epstein died in jail in 2019 — in what was ruled a suicide — while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking minors.
 “New evidence reveals that there were 25 men with which the plaintiff lawyers reached secret settlements - that could equally be considered as coconspirators,” the petition states.

How common is it for there to be secret settlements in cases of trafficking minors?

Because 25 sounds like a lot to me.
