Raise The Colours Figure Accused of Making Indecent Images of Children
#1
Quote:Ben Cullen from Wallingford, said to be a prominent figure within the Oxfordshire branch of Raise the Colours, has been charged with three counts of making indecent images.
The Raise the Colours group rose to prominence last year after it began draping streets with England flags as anti-immigration protests spread through the UK.

Quote:The 45-year-old is alleged to have made 22 indecent category A photographs.
He is also accused of making 36 indecent category B pseudo-photographs of children - images made using AI or graphics tools - and 20 category C images, the Oxford Mail reported.

The offences are said to have taken place in Wallingford on March 25, 2021.
He was due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday.
The broader Raise the Colours organisation has claimed it was unaware of the allegations surrounding Cullen.
In a statement on social media, the group said: "Raise the Colours wishes to make clear that we were not aware, and have never previously been aware, of the allegations reported concerning Ben Cullen (Raise the Colours Oxfordshire).

"Peter File, Peter File, paging Peter File."

It always seems to be the ones shouting the loudest about protect "are" children who end up facing the most disturbing allegations.

It's sickening, and the hypocrisy is impossible to ignore.

Claiming a repair shop put illegal files on his hard drive, or they were already on the drive, is an extraordinary defence.

And it's apt to require some rather compelling evidence.

If that's the best explanation the beast has to offer.

I have to say i find it rather unconvincing.

I am sure forensic IT guys will be able to find the truth. As they say, nothing is really ever deleted off one's hard drives.

They can generally determine download times from OS artifacts, your browser history, and associated cache files.

Yeah, so why would he lie, unless he knows nothing about forensic IT processes?

Because he's been caught with kiddie porn on his laptop springs to mind.

I don't think beasts ever come out and admit it right away, Quint, and just put their hands up.

Im apt to ponder your probably correct...

Quote:The prosecutor at his trial said Cullen is “rowing back on his police interview statements about the laptop being taken to a computer repair shop” and is now desperately trying to claim that lots of other people must have had access to the laptop.

If other people had access to his laptop, then authorities need to expand their investigation to those other people.

I wonder if people don't consider it 'real' child abuse when it is AI generated images even when bad actors may use real children's likenesses.

It is alarming to me when reading how AI-generated sexual and violent abuse images/videos is increasing rapidly.

I imagine rather a few of those alleged ""other people"" will be all his mates and fellow "Raise The Colours" muppets, Quint...

Hopefully it all comes out in the wash...

Again, if he left his laptop accessible to others, then forensics can determine day/time of creation/upload and he may have been somewhere else that day and time, so he may be able to provide a good alibi.

Then, again, maybe he is into denial.

Maybe he is just into kids...

The thing about claiming it must have been ""other people"" who had access to the laptop and are responsible.

Is that the offences are alleged to have taken place back in March, 2021.

When "Raise the Colours" was not even a thing as far as i seem to recall.

So God knows who all these people are that he alleges had access to the device.

I imagine they must be a very specific few.

Considering the UK was in a strict national lockdown throughout March of 2021.

It's most likely just an attempt at finding someone else to blame, but some years ago there was a man (I think it was in the UK) that was caught with child porn on his computer and said he was innocent and that it must have someone else to put it there. Forensic analysis found that he did have a trojan horse (or something like it) on his computer so it was not possible to be sure who had been responsible for the images.

Edited to add link. It was 23 years ago. Time does fly...
