Ozzy Osbourne dead at 76
#1
I knew this was coming, I just hoped it wasn't so soon.
Goodbye Ozzy. See you on the other side.

Quote:"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the family said in a statement to BBC. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
Osbourne recently performed his final concert with the band in Birmingham, England.

F, F, F  I’ve been playing Sabbath and Ozzy’s songs for 47 years.   We all knew it was inevitable but I’m devastated that it was this morning.

I’m so glad he had the send off he did, that was an incredible show, Yungblud’s performance was jaw dropping.  How cool is it though that he was up on that stage just a few weeks ago, rocking out one last time.  He will be very missed.  RIP Ozzy

Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.

Wow!!!   I didn't recognise Yungblud!!  ... and what a very heartfelt song for him to sing.  Fit perfectly with his voice.

Yes, I guess at one point we all wondered how Oz lasted this long, and yet it still comes as a great shock.   I mean, he and Sabbath carried me through a whole heap of personal shit.   Fair trails Ozzy.  Keep the stars in your face.

RIP.

Seen him quite a few times, with Sabbath and Blizzard of Ozz.

Randy Rhodes was an amazing guitarist, died young.

Saw Blizzard at Canterbury Odeon in the 80s.  Ozzy came on:  " HELLO HAMBURG!!!".

Bless.  What a Dude.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

RIP, we share the same birthday but not the year. Dec,3. His real name is John Michael.

In 1981 I was 9. I forced my dad to take me to Ann Arbor,  MIchigan to his concert. He bit the head off of a bat. I am sure it was for show.

I will miss you.

Not a fan.
Felt bad for him with the Parkinsons.
He was diagnosed in 2003.
That's 23 years since diagnosis with the disease.
Slowly getting worse.
Lately he couldn't walk at all.
Wheelchair bound.
I wonder how he died ... what from.
Technically Parkinsons doesn't kill you.

Wow, I knew he was ill but this was still a shock.
I'm going out on a limb to say that concert was probably more than he should have done.....probably hastened his death.

RIP Ozzy!!!
Looking forward to that concert on the other side....some day in the faraway future.

Looks like he might have known he was going to go.
Either that, or it's a weird coincidence.
His last instagram post just hours before he died ...

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/arti...13201.html

Quote:The day before his death, however, the “Crazy Train” singer shared a backstage photo from the event of the sign above his dressing room. His name was printed atop the poster, with a picture of Osbourne and his four original bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward below.
“Back to the Beginning,” it read. “The Final Show.”

According to one story I read, he intended the concert as his goodbye.   The show was pitched a "Back to the Beginning. The Final Show."   I think he knew he was done, and wanted one last scream.   Something that I think most of us wish for ourselves.

I came home from the grocery store about 30 minutes ago and grabbed a snack and looked at my phone to check the time and saw a news alert from NewsNation.

crazy that he did a concert a couple of weeks ago in the UK.  Not sure if they were back in the states or still there.  I haven’t found any reports on where he passed.
