They don't vaccinate against rabies.

The antidote is just that... once you've been infected, it kills the virus.

If you get rabies, it's almost always fatal (something like 99.9%) - they can tell it works because people bitten by rabid animals and who get treatment don't show symptoms and don't die, and those who don't get treated do die.

I think the antidote can cause some amount of pain and swelling at the injection site.

Depending on the wound location.

So it's not just something like a Tetanus shot they hand out just to be sure.

Certainly better than the alternative, all the same.

Which i imagine equates to madness and painful death.

No matter how many cigarettes one smoked.  Wink2

LoL

Deals, you're a goldmine, sunshine.

What makes you think you're saved?

Here's 40 Regal and a 2-liter of Diet Pepsi.

Now get back in the hole.

And fill up the entire bottle this time.  Saint2

2 days off of nicotine gum. After being on it for at least 2 years. No withdrawal symptoms.  Which proves the scientific papers I posted are correct.

Nicotine isn't addictive. The smoke and other additives are the addictive ingredients.

Yeah, that proves the scientific papers you posted are ""correct.""

Undoubtedly so.  Spin

I think it would be interesting if you keep a daily journal of everything you're feeling since you stopped the gum. Maybe go a month, and then review to see how you're feeling. I have a friend who smoked many years, had a heart attack, then switched to nicotine gum, did it for several years. Had another heart attack. His doctor told him it was the nicotine, and that if he didn't want to die in six months, he had to give it up once and for all. Fortunately, he listened to his doctor, who was a real doctor and not a quack pushing sketchy supplements online.

The nicotine is a mild stimulant. So it could raise your blood pressure and heart rate. If you keep using it every day it might be harmful. Combine it with an energy drink, a little Marijuana tincture, and a cup of coffee.  And you won't be sleeping that night.
The strongest withdrawals should be the first day and I still feel nothing on the 2nd day. If anything I feel more relaxed from not being jacked up.
Still. Everyone should chew the gum or use a patch weekly to keep the venom's in the environment off the receptor sites.
