"The ex-chief of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Monday the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good demonstrated that the Trump administration was placing agents in situations they're not prepared to face — and he criticized the administration's response in the aftermath."
"Sandweg, who led ICE from 2013 to 2014, said the agency's politicization was not helpful, and he said the administration's rushed response to Good's killing in Minneapolis further undermined public trust in its mission."
""But you can’t get [evidence] unless you’re executing search warrants on her phone, getting into her email communications, interviewing people who knew her," Sandweg added. "In any event, the irresponsibility is not only rushing up to the public and giving them information that isn’t vetted, but it also undermines the investigation … I just can’t imagine anyone’s going to have confidence in that investigation anymore.""
""Stop announcing these operations," Sandweg said. "This is so bizarre to me. How high-profile [it is], we announce weeks in advance that ICE is coming to town. Candidly, that just puts the officers in greater jeopardy. You’re telling all the potential targets, 'We’re coming to get you next week.' I mean, what?""I think we need to de-escalate," he added. "But unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’re doing that.""
Ex-ICE chief mystified by 'bizarre' Trump response to fatal shooting
John Sandweg. Democrat attorney, open border advocate that had no law enforcement background prior to being tapped by Obama for acting director of ICE. One month into his tenure he was under an investigative probe for pushing to stall a Secret Service scandal report. Six months after being installed by Obama he quit without notice or explanation.
Yeah, F him and anything he has to say.

"The former ICE agent also said that this rushed training could lead to a domino effect as more senior ICE agents plan for retirement, and the new recruits, who didn’t have as much legal and enforcement training as previous generations, fill the gap."

What a wonderful bullshti piece
No names for the agents they were "quoting" but made sure to keep Ross's name front and center.
One agent with "25 years of experience" when the agency has not even been around that long, the other with "over 20 years of experience"
You find the funniest "sources" to try and prove a point you don't have to make

For a factually accurate perspective Ross's hiring occurred during the Obama administration.
Ross was hired and trained in 2015, you know, right after Obama's ICE deported 3 million people who were living in the US illegally
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nati...099719007/
Quote: he joined U.S. Customs and Border Protection and was assigned to a job near El Paso, Texas. He said he patrolled the border, tracked border crossers and served as a field intelligence agent. He worked on the border from 2007 to 2015 and learned Spanish.
In 2015 he joined ICE and joined Enforcement and Removal Operations as a deportation officer. He mentioned he is a current member of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
“I am a firearms instructor, an active shooter instructor,” Ross told the court Dec. 8 at the trial. “I’m also a field intelligence officer and I am a member of the SWAT team, the St. Paul Special Response Team.”
Quote:Jonathan Ross=#171717, the ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent involved in the January 7, 2026, shooting death of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, was hired by ICE in 2015.
Multiple reliable sources, including court records, media reports from outlets like the Associated Press, USA Today, NBC News, and the Minnesota Star Tribune, confirm this timeline.
Ross previously served in the U.S. Border Patrol from 2007 to 2015 before transitioning to ICE as a deportation officer in Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), based in Minnesota.
This hiring occurred during the Obama administration.

You can tell this is the type of person who is facing the consequences of their own actions for the first time.

I'm not posting for other American's reports and opinions to get debunked.
I'm posting for an alternative look at the problems many see here with how your government is failing and stripping people of their rights. That's how I see it.
I don't need you to debunk anything because Trump is losing in the courtroom in almost every way, which does not require anything I post from other Americans' positions to be debunked.
I find many topics here to be interesting studies, it's not emotional it is intellectual something perhaps you don't understand? and being a lifelong learner this is a good life choice.
Nothing I post gets debunked by independent means, as right wing bias is not debunking anything.
If you wish to ignore ex-ICE agents' claims of how screwed up things are there, that is your choice, but you have no right here to tell anyone else here how or what to post.
