I know you have not read the complete history because of your responses.

Where do you want to start?   This conflict when the Palestinians brutally murdered, raped and pillaged 1.3k people and took hostages, most that have since been murdered?   That conflict?
Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.

Enlighten me on my lack of knowledge that would be pertinent to this discussion, I want to learn….

Tell me…what am I missing?

That attack was horrific and indefensible, but the conflict's roots go far deeper than that one event.

The history between Israelis and Palestinians stretches back over a century.

And in a broader sense, the land’s history and conflict span thousands of years.

Complicated to say the least.

It's what they are missing that seems to be the problem.

That being the ability to coexist in peace, and that's both sides.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

I understand all that and agree with most of that.

When asked if Hamas had committed the atrocities seen in the videos shown by international media displaying acts or atrocities committed by Hamas members against Israeli civilians, such as killing women and children in their homes. The overwhelming majority (86%) said it did not commit such atrocities, and only 10% said it did.

It’s impossible to deal with these terrorist subhumans.

This may be an example of two things being true.

One side was brutal and inhuman....

no wait...

Actually both sides have been brutal...

Over so long... that the only way to appreciate the reality
is to have lived the history and be intimate with it.

We want to alternately "wish" or "bully" it away...
It's not for us to "make happen"
It has to happen when the one ingredient we need isn't missing...

The combatants have to want it to stop.

Clearly... not all of them will agree to "make it" end...
because they can't forget and won't forgive... ever.

When we do that ourselves, we feel "righteous."

The problem really starts there.
