I highly recommend this masterpiece.  Smile

If you have already seen the film, then please share your thoughts about it because I think we can have very different perceptions.

I think the duality is what makes the film so enduring. 

The film shows that greed doesn't just corrupt, it erases identity.

By the end, neither man is truly "victorious" because they have both lost something important.

I think when greed takes over, the heart becomes expendable, and all that's left is emptiness.

By the way, the film is over 2 hours long, but it doesn't feel that way because it is so brilliant. 

I love how Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine act.  Grin

This is one  of those productions and performances that were on my "must experience" list.

The time period and style of the screenplay make it now even more 'classic' than the fact that the stars were incredible, and the writing superlative!

I loved this film...

Definitely a good film and not boring at all.
