If you want the best female scream/growl in metal it is hands down "Masha Scream" of Arkona

Boo anything not Alissa White-Gluz, although Angela was definitely grittier. Alissa is the best two-way singer. Her and Maria Brink are the best at going back and forth, Tatiana of Jinger can do it too.

Alissa is my Rockstar hero, and I love working in her music and overusing her. She does anti-fur things and writes intelligent lyrics. Plus, she is with the guitar player from The Misfits, so if they ever marry she'd be Alissa White-Gluz-Von-Frankenstein, which would just be hilarious to say.

Mostly she's my hero for going from from getting sent off Canadian Idol (for a terrible Queen performance at 20) to THIS.

She made a name with The Agonist, got picked up by Kamelot to sing on a tour, and launched to the strata from there.
