There is no honor, no glory, no display of gratitude sufficient to match the gift that mothers can - and do - bring to their children.
There is no human alive that hasn't been the contribution of a mother. Seems fitting, and even paltry, that we should offer them a day, a card, and some virtue words... Motherhood is at the center of our human life. Or at least it had been... from the beginning. If there were a single parental unit... motherhood has to be in there... 'fatherhood' is interdependent on the presence of motherhood... go figure... When you exist as a team of two.... motherhood offers the fruit of the new human.
