Merry Christmas everyone.
Santa is not going to be coming to our house tonight, He is mad at us for feeding the deer too much, the deer here are starting to get pretty fat. We also feed them cookies sometimes, so they might attack Santa if he brings some out of the house. I totally understand Santa skipping our house. We had a little four point buck, a forkhorn come here today, but it had only one antler left, saw it a week ago and it had both. He had two carrots, three potatoes, an apple and two huge carrots...plus some dry roasted peanuts.
Come to think about it, if the reindeer find out we feed the deer so well, maybe they will stop by here and eat for hours, Santa might be stuck here and kids won't get their presents. Maybe that is why Santa is mad at us. I think I could blackmail Santa into giving us a good present this year so he can get his work done.
Meanwhile, the wife and I did not buy any Christmas presents this year, we decided to give all cash for the family. Usually we give around twenty pounds of beef, but we did not get our half cow this year, that is two years in a row now, hope the farmer we buy from can gain more calfs this year, they slaughtered too many the two years before that, they are getting old he had issues with rotator cuff and she had a problem with some kind of hernia or stretched membrane at the bottom of her stomach area. So they botth had operations and thought about bringing down the herd, but now they are doing better, but certified grass fed organic calves are expensive. So they are not slaughtering so many to build the herd....at a time when beef prices are increasing.
You guys ever notice that there is no firearm deer season at Christmas?
The whole world should have mandatory cease fires on Christmas eve through Christmas day too, so Santa doesn't get shot down.
