Loads of animals in nature display homosexual tendencies, from mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects.

Other animals don't moralise or judge sexual behavior the same way we do.

He did apologize in his letter to his friends and said they were good friends. He made it clear everyone was very helpful and are the reason he made it as far as he had in life.

Yeah, not really something you can say sorry for all the same.

Can't justify actions like that.

Have you read the letters praising his family with love?

He seems to have lived in an isolated protective cocoon. 

Does he mention anything or anyone — like a friend — outside his family?

A loner whose life seems to be online. 

Just my observation from early information. 

There could be much more coming.

And gender variances in school these days is not unusual. The kids don’t care. They protect their friends.

Interesting. How would living in an isolated protective cocoon turn somebody into a raving mental case murderer?   Were the mental defects "born in" or developed?

i don't think gay people, men or women, think they are the opposite sex of what they are biologically. 

I would assume they are just attracted to members of the same sex that they are.

I am in no way minimizing members of the Trans community by saying I think it's a mental illness.

I would love to see them get some serious and dedicated help to make their lives easier, not just a bandaid on a gunshot wound.

Obviously, this is a horrible tragedy and my thoughts go out to those affected.

My specific point was to point out the ATS typical demonization, scapegoating and classification of an already marginalized entire minority as mentally ill due to the actions of one or two is pretty lame and to infer that violence is an inherent part of the trans condition because they’re all “mentally ill” or have been groomed or indoctrinated, while conducive to a polarized, politicized and partisan discussion, simply doesn’t fit the facts.

I had hoped things would be better here but should have known better.

Using that same logic, that trans people are bad, all politicians, priests, pastors, teachers, camp counselors, scout leaders, etc. are bad actors or pedophiles because a few are or have been. Can people not see the fallacy of this conclusion?

I’m not making apology or excuses for what this person did. Did being trans have something to do with it? Maybe but maybe the current political climate and constant attacks against their community and the resultant sense of hopelessness, fear and uncertainty many of them are dealing with may also hold part of the blame for pushing this person over the edge?

It’s just a thought.

It's pretty fair to say someone who isn't comfortable with how they were born might be suffering from mental issues. It's okay not to control every aspect of your life like it's some sort of pizza ordering app and you can just have it your way, it simply not the case in life stuff happens be like water moving through a rocky brook.

Thanks.  Over here the help is very much politically correct.

There was a Radio 4 interview with parents of a teenager who was transgendering  with surgery.

They were told by Social Workers not to discuss this with their child or she would be taken into care.

Now, I think this is far too young for someone to be making such a life changing decision.

Some trans folk do have mental health issues for sure, but not all.

I wasn't implying that absolved him of anything, Someone was arguing that he was a loaner with no friends which was a lie and they were actually pushing their own non factual based narrative of these events.

I wish I knew what the answer should/could/would be but I am just a clown typing on a message board trying to stay afloat in my own life.

But from what I see everywhere in daily life and on the news, mental health issues are out of control.

People need help and I don't think there are many places that are easily available to them for that help.
