Heard this last couple days, someone traced down video of him saying it: Twitter video.

You think this is why all those people whe were supposed to be coming forward with first hand knowledge haven’t yet?

"I've said this publicly so I'll say it again here: I was personally threatened because I knew of a conversation that happened somewhere, and I alluded to it in the most elliptical fashion on a public broadcast. Literally a couple of days later, I get a phone call from a friend saying "XYZ at the White House is really pissed at you and you should not ever say anything like that again, because 'Title 18' applies… I said 'what does that mean?'. I still recall Bob Lazar complaining of being threatened and harassed by men in black at his place of work/study often? Lazar advised that to save your life it would be necessary to stay in the UFO limelight, so to speak, even though he didn't want any of the UFO media attention.
 

Most telling of all are those witnesses who were subsequently visited and threatened by various Men In Black types. Six people who offered to tell me their stories say they were visited immediately afterward and ordered to keep their mouths shut. If it had happened only once, I wouldn’t think much about it. But these six people were solid citizens, not UFO nuts. One woman says she her life was threatened. Another man says he was warned about imprisonment if he talked. What this told me was that someone was listening to my phone calls. In the days before Edward Snowden’s revelations, before we took for granted that the government is listening to every call and reading every email, this knowledge really pissed us off. Years after the story broke, I spoke to two former spooks who admitted that their job was to follow me, Lazar, Lear and Huff to see who we met or spoke to, at our workplaces, homes or bars. If Lazar’s tale was baloney, why were we being followed?

The other explanation that has been swallowed by those who don’t want the story to be true is that maybe the tale told by Lazar is part of a disinformation plot, devised by the CIA or Air Force, as a way to distract attention away from something else flying around out there.

Let's ask ourselves, if there is nothing to this UFO/UAP phenomenon, why are people being threatened and harassed still?

I bet it is all down to technology ownership.

And the "suppressors" of the information are operating to protect 'unrealized capital gains' for 'someone.'

But to use government employees to deliver threats of violence, even implied, is nevertheless criminal...and the "warnings" are part of that crime.

It makes little sense to create traceable, accountable threats - (which can be criminal,) unless one want's them circulated publicly, no? 
At least you should expect the threat to be "known" to have effect.

I think, although I'm not happy about it, that this is a drama, being staged and produced... (and perhaps studied.)

Why threats?
1. Government (still) fears loss of respect - must pretend to be top of the food chain.  At base it is human hubris. At top it is staying in control of The Narrative
2. Government is not really in control, this is a largely nonphysical, spiritual and energetic phenomenon, not nuts and bolts creatures 'all the time'
3. Society is evolving faster than GOV can 'handle' (literally), or control, and fears being left out of conversation and communion between humanity and these intelligences.  
4. All of the above point to a desperate grasping at mantaining the 100 year old status quo. At a cost of human suffering, death, and devolution (non-sharing of technology and knowledge. 

This brings to mind all the time that inventors claim to have received new energy and transportation systems from NIH and then were killed/suicided.

1)  But when we say governments (or even cabals, or 'organizations') aren't we glossy over that it's people who "do" things, in their way.  And there is a disconnect between people that disconnects them from both power and government.

If government obeyed a set of rules, and was subject to actual consequences for their actions, we might be in a better place.

But to them rules are for changing (especially if commerce is 'ready for it') and consequences are for people who get arrested.

The government has no pride to protect. 

Each "personality" in the mix uses the collective identity of rest as a shield of honor or virtue...
(hmmm, where have I seen this behavior before?... oh! everywhere, all the time)
or perhaps leverages the presumed dignity of their office for personal glorification...
(again, not surprised, really.)

2. I suspect that we will discover the government, as an institution was, to coin a phrase 'corrupted in principle'. 
Further, that such a state may have arose at the same time as the global information control struggles actually began in this neck of civilization...
back in the early days of bank empires and direct royal focus in the diplomatic world.

But, almost ironically... it seems clear that whatever the government is, as a distinct institutional entity - it clearly evolved "in principle" -

Clearly, they have never "been in control"... only single-mindedly focused on making it appear so.  Rejecting all notions to the contrary as... notably divergent.

Good news though!... it appears they really suck at this whole affair generally...

... perhaps because people are not as stupid as they wish we were?  (As the narratives keep "telling/showing" us over and over... as 'the' image of ourselves.)

3.   With the tradition of commerce comes that "people are stupid" and it keeps arising over and over...
as if any person or group doing something we might think stupid naturally means ALL people and groups are stupid.

Maintaining a narrative of 'control and order' is not ever going to be achievable... it might not even be desirable.

Perhaps the whole idea of "maintaining a narrative" is the actual problem.

4.  That desperate grasping is the real key.   It's the one where people are reduced to collateral damage, and consequences are for others to bear.  Where their true colors come out and shine.

If THEM is the ol powers that be, then most unequivocally and irrevocably I have to say that NO , we are not bred to need them.  They are a parasite on hard work , happiness and freedom.  Cuz, most all people in government are sociopaths.  Or lazy leeches.

and perhaps one of the strongest arguments we have these craft.

Could be that they are man made or alien made, either way I think they exist. And our government is threatening people with death to protect the secret.
