Hands Off 2025

Like the question on corporations duty is to serve the shareholders. I click "agree." I got that far right with darwinian capitalism that, while free, allows for multinational to outsource for their profit margin.

So it puts me "technically" further right then most that would criticism me. I just feel survival of the economic fittest, even without strict anti-trust laws still arrive at the most natural and productive framework. Even if it shift labor overseas and cuts jobs for automation.

That same "HANDS OFF ECONOMIC APPROACH" (on topic again) can be applied to civil liberties, and even immigration. The minimally regulated is the minimally regulated, be it life or greedy global capitalism. My globalism and antiprotectionism puts me where I am.

And the only thing that brings me the least bit left is
my position to use higher taxes to fund social programs, and even museums, but not really shedding tears for public radio. Higher taxes and less regulation is my trade off for lower taxes and protectionism.

It's not really a conundrum after you extricate yourself from the sphere of American politics.

Well, it is from Australia is it not, I had one or two strong opinions but thats it.

For better or worse we still operate in the sphere of American politics, everything is skewed. Even my Isidewith profile didn't seem to fit me and I think that had misleading answers plus it gets so in-depth.

Perhaps, it's still semi-entertaining though...

but I like to think I don't fit into a box

I can fully rationalize I prefer Trump to Harris while having differing opinions on a variety of issues.

And I didn't see a single arrest. It really was what democracy looks like. Police estimated 14,000 showed up. Ours was around Noon to 2 PM. Took over the core of downtown pretty much. Very few counter protestors to be seen.

The official White House statement along the lines of "Protests will not intimidate or derail the President's agenda." couldn't better encapsulate the purpose of the day.

It was way bigger than the BLM one, and far less destructive. No windows boarded up. It went out of its way to be as joyful and united as possible. And this is just the first one. Now we get all the policies designed to antagonize the people demonstrating against him today. And those protests.

Most common things for Trump/Musk to keep their hands off included:

Body
Marriage
IVF
Right to serve
Job
Education
Healthcare
Free trade
Immigration Policy

Knowing how he works, some of those may be further targeted in the coming weeks as his official response.

Returning the focus to salient points of interest, let's challenge ourselves to imagine a scenario where DEI policy (which broadly incites about half the contentions listed above) might be relevant or even necessary.

Healthcare and free trade are another subject that perhaps deserve their own topics.
I can't help what my face does when you talk
