He gets a more rounded audience of left, right, and middle. Kimmel gets half the viewership, and it's pretty much all left wing. Overall ... Gutfeld is the #1 ranked late night 'comedian' show.

One of the questions to him was from a panelist about Area51 and aliens. ![]() I thought the show was okay but since Trump was on it wasn't what his show was really like on an average night. So I have no idea if he's funny or partisan or whatever. But the audience demographics is a healthy mix of left, right, and middle, so he must be doing something right .... In 'old fashioned' TV, the time slot, age group and demographic is the biggest used for comparisons, so a little apples vs oranges?!?!? ![]() Most don't even include Gutfeld as 'late night' and didn't even show up. Quote:The ratings of Jimmy Kimmel Live! have been compared to other late-night shows, withThe Late Show with Stephen Colbertleading in total viewers, averaging 2.42 million viewers, followed byJimmy Kimmel Live!with 1.77 million viewers, andThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonwith 1.19 million viewers[sup][1][/sup]. Disney owns the show and pays to make it. They sell it to broadcasting companies (Sinclair, nexstar) which distribute it to their stations for airing on TV. When those broadcasting companies don’t want to pay for a garbage money losing show, they won’t pay Disney for the show. Disney is losing millions by not being able to sell the show. Disney is also losing money paying the production costs of a show they can’t sell. Sinclair and nexstar will fill that time slot with a show they already purchased that actually makes money. (Advertiser revenue) They have about 10 hours to change their minds for tonight, but Sinclair and nexstar ,as of right now, will not be showing Kimmels show.

Let me explain something, or rather reiterate, it's all about the money, hunny, and if there was no profit to be had, it would bloody happen. Disney can still stream or sell content ""digitally"" which is now the new playing field. The game is changing, but the players remain the same. Think of it this way, they build the team a big new ""digital"" stadium, and it's open all day every day, accessible via that 3*5 inch black slab of ceramic and silicon everyone carries around in their pocket.

It doesn’t preach and it is usually very casual an doesn’t take itself that seriously. Kind of how late night used to be before they all went into woke politics.

Maybe they don't include him because he leans right and the others lean left and there is bias? Dunno. Well ... he's there .... he's late night ... and he has twice the overall viewership as Kimmel. So he's doing something right. Only saw the show one time. So can't speak to what it is.

I've watched enough of Kimmel to know he's a Trump/Conservative hater, so keep him or dump him, I don't care because I don't watch it.
The thing that will decide it is the same as always : Money. If those stations are not going to carry the show, will advertisers pay for air time that no one is seeing ? Like any big corporation, Disney doesn't give a damn about Kimmel's Freedom of Speech. They care about their bottom line. I have no doubt they'd keep him on the air just for the sake of appearances, but if he starts costing them money like Colbert did CBS, they'll drop him. That may be next week or 6 months from now, but they're not going to keep wasting money. Right now, Kimmel is hot. I would bet his ratings will go up temporarily because everyone wants to know what all the noise is about and advertisers will take advantage of that. But, when all the noise is over, it still comes to down to Kimmel alienated half the country and when his numbers go down, ads get pulled and the dominos start falling.
