Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder

From what I've checked and posted, Kimmel is number 1 in the only age group that matters to TV, 18 to 49.

Okay ... from AI Assist Google ...

In recent reports from September 2025, Greg Gutfeld's program Gutfeld! has significantly higher total viewership than Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with Gutfeld! averaging 3.2 million total viewers in 2025 compared to Kimmel's 1.6 million. Gutfeld! also leads in the key advertiser-coveted 25-54 demographic, outperforming Kimmel by 46% in the same period.

Gutfeld! has surpassed Stephen Colbert's The Late Show in overall late-night TV ratings, particularly since 2022, and consistently leads in total viewers and the advertiser-coveted 25-54 demographic. While Gutfeld! airs on Fox News at an earlier time slot (10 p.m. ET) compared to Colbert's 11:35 p.m. ET broadcast on CBS, Gutfeld! has maintained its dominant position as the top-rated late-night show for extended periods, including 2025 averages.

Again, money talks, the rest just do the walk.

Lots of people watch the likes of Jimmy Kimmel on other platforms.

And not just in America, but worldwide.

The landscape is changing, but the talent remains the same.

They’re not really “bringing it back”.
Disney is going to pay to restart production of the show but they can’t sell it because the 2 biggest broadcast companies won’t buy it.
He’ll have a show but it won’t make any money and nobody will watch it.

This is a big deal.
Do you have any idea how much money Disney is losing each day Kimmels show is shelved?

Which is exactly the reason it has been unshelved.

And if they were not making a profit....

I think you may find Disney has announced that Jimmy Kimmel will return to ABC on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, following the suspension due to the controversial remark, so....

I mean, time will answer that question pretty soon, considering today is the 23rd.  Saint2

Ok, I see the differences like time slot and demographic,

Well, we are 4 hours ahead over here, so it will be about 2am/4am before we get to know on my end.

I'm inclined to believe Disney's statement all the same.

When does he usually air in the US, 10pm/11pm?

Tick Tock and all that jazz.  Saint2
