When I was in early teens, I had some spooky experiences.
I shared a bedroom with my older brother who had a bit of a drug problem.
I'd go up to bed and feel a sense of dread, knowing what would happen. I'd turn the light on and get into bed. The light would then slowly dim and go out. I knew when this would happen. I then felt an evil presence in the room which I called the Dragon.
Nothing wrong with the bulb or electrics.
Other weirdness too.
The Top Hat Man and stuff.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

Did your brother ever witness any strangeness? Also I am intrigued about your name for this presence: Dragon.
Why Dragon?

Yes. He saw the Hat Man by my bed, leaning towards my head, I woke up and shouted "NO"!
Why Dragon? I don't know. Just an impression I had. I never saw anything.

Someone recently gave me a first hand account of the top hat man and there was other ghosts involved. What other weirdness was there, anything with animals/insects?

Wow that's incredible! That you both witnessed the same thing.
I am sorry if this strikes a bad chord, but how did your brother react? Was it a wake up call to kick the drug habit? Or did he end up worse off?
Has it changed you and your disposition in any way?
Thanks for the replies.

He was terrified.
Yes, he kicked the hard drugs.
Had lots of weird stuff in that house but it mostly stopped after puberty. Mostly!
One time, I was running thru the woods that backed on to our garden because it was getting dark. There was a white flash and time seemed to slow. It was like I was running thru treacle. I looked back and saw what looked like a Norman Knight standing there with both hands resting on a massive broadsword.
He was radiating white light.
I slowly made it indoors. Looked out and he was gone.
Wasn't a dream, I told my dad as soon as I got in.
He was very open minded about it but had no explanation.
It all mostly stopped as I grew up.
But I did make a post on ATS about my weird flaming log UFO experiences (x2) but can't find it as the search function is rubbish!
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

It's not painful, but it's not a desirable feeling by any means. It makes me twist and writhe in a most uncomfortable way. It does feel much better when it's over. I feel lighter and recharged both physically and spiritually. To this day I know this sensation very well and it has come up from time to time in my life.
You gave an excellent description of a Kundalini experience that can become an aspect of practiced meditation, (TM in my case). Just for fun, I suggest that you might try Remote Viewing. Cross-relationships seem part of your package.

This post was last modified Yesterday, 08:52 PM by KKLoco. Edited 1 time in total.
I’m very reluctant to post this, for reasons I previously mentioned….
I had another experience last night. Insomnia was the catalyst, once again. Ironically, I’m laying on the couch searching for movies to watch, as I couldn’t sleep. I kept coming across movies about the supernatural, aliens, etc.. You know, topics that I’m very interested in. However, I thought to myself ‘KK, you know you’re not going to sleep well tonight, so you better not’ (for the reason mentioned earlier in the thread). And so I didn’t. I ended up binging ‘Homestead Rescue’ instead. Thinking ‘you can’t get more wholesome than that’, and it’s my favorite show. Apparently, that didn’t matter…..
So I finally started getting tired while laying on the couch watching my show (hard to keep the eyes open). So I finally begrudgingly get up off the couch at 1:58am and head to bed. I know because I looked at the clock. Hopped into bed within a minute and ‘tried’ to go to sleep, to no avail. I don’t know what it is, but every time this happens to me, I go to bed tired, but don’t sleep for one second, and am essentially ‘bright-eyed’.
After tossing and turning in bed for about an hour, I can feel the atmosphere change in the room. A presence or presences were there. My eyes are closed and I’m saying to myself ‘oh shit not again’. I tried to shove it out of my mind. Unfortunately, there was something there and it wasn’t allowing me to just ignore it.
Keep in mind that I have 99% blackout curtains, with absolutely no lights that can come in through from my backyard. I was not in and out of sleep. I was AWAKE and very irritated about that fact. Then I got even more irritated by THE SPACE INVADERS. So let’s rule out altered states of consciousness here. Oh, and haven’t had any alcohol since XMAS day.
So I’m laying there tossing and turning, and as I said, the atmosphere in the room changed. For those that have had the experiences, you know what I’m talking about. I first hear it in my ears. Almost like a low hum, with other very faint sounds that are hard to describe. Then, (with my eyes closed), I start seeing dark visuals, but not the cool colorful psychedelic kind. Then something reverberates all through the body, and you can feel it shoot up your spine, and this feeling persists.
As mentioned, initially I tried to ignore it. All the way up until I started feeling the mattress move from weight being pressed on it, repeatedly!!! Then, I FINALLY opened my eyes and looked right in the corner where I could feel it all coming from. And there, standing not even a foot from my dog, was a 7 foot tall ‘shadow man’, AND what appeared to be smaller beings behind it.
I did not keep my eyes open long, as I did not want to engage them. I rolled over in a fury and put my blanket over my head (haven’t done that in 40 years). At that point, all the senses I had had previously felt, were intensified by 10!! I shouted ‘Be gone — you aren’t welcome here!’ However, I still feel the presence and it touching the damn matress. After about one minute, I pulled my head out from under the blanket, as I wasn’t going to let this prick intimidate me (it did anyways). I did not open my eyes, because I did not want fear to overtake me. I just kept saying over in my mind ‘You have no power over me. Go away!’
After about a minute of doing this, everything stopped. And let me tell you, a minute seems like an eternity in these experiences. Needless to say, I did not sleep one single minute last night, and am VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT IT SHADOW MAN!!!
Now in conclusion, I have some observations about these experiences. Since my most recent was only last night, and I have other recent ones to correlate with. I’m going to bullet point these:
- A night of insomnia is the catalyst
- Experiences always start an hour or two after I go to bed
- Always happen in my bedroom
- Experiences are Always between 2:30am - 3:30am
- I always sense them before I see them
Last night I was able to really identify why multiple aspects of these experiences really piss me off. First, why always in the dark of night? I mean, appear in the damn daylight and not only look at you — I’ll talk to your ass. Second, Why typically in the ‘witching hours’, where no one else is awake? Third, why take on such nefarious appearances? Fourth, why do things like touch the bed, when it’s clear it’s making me uncomfortable?
There’s just nothing positive about these experiences. I won’t lie, I do feel fear initially. However, my adrenaline takes over — because I absolutely hate the feeling of fear. Fight or flight, amirite?!

You might be a medium or something, look into channeling. How are you feeling now and in days following? The actions you took before going to bed set you up for channeling.
How hard was the pressing on the mattress, can you mimic it, try? There is sometimes a sensation of being pulled out of the body that starts by "sinking". It can come in waves. There can be a sudden violent pull also.

Sounds like it's time to assert yourself over these entities.
Think about it, you are stronger, that's why they slink around in the shadows when you're tired.
I've heard invoking the name of Jesus scares them off. I personally imagine white light as both my shield and as my weapon.
Personally I haven't had any frightening encounters in years.
You are NOT at their mercy. But I believe there is something about you that attracts them.
Do not be fearful, learn to master your fear and I suspect they'll stop.
