Neither option is appealing.
Not at all. The big thing with the GBU-57 is that you only need one bomb to get at deeper bunkers. If you don’t have something like it, you drop multiple bombs on the same target and dig your way to it.

The potential end of the brutal oppressive dictatorship, where they have ( checks notes) local elections, a directly elected national congress, and a national president indirectly elected for a four-year term by an electoral college. It's undemocratic because they have a shadowy behind-the-scenes group that acts to make candidates nonviable when it is decided they would be too much of a threat to the existing power structure.
Also, their God is not Money.

Israel has said Iran will have a nuke soon for decades now. I remember every few years it was just months or weeks away.
Maybe they were actually getting close this time, but I wonder if that was our problem. NK has nukes, Pakistan has nukes.
I'm also not confident this would just be a quick in and out. Iraq and Afghanistan took decades, We've also dropped an insane amount of bombs on Yemen to no avail, and that is just a separatist force. Iran is very mountainous, and I don't see how they would be easier than any of the others. For decades, most Americans haven't bought into the motivation to take on Iran, especially the communities who could see this was always a plan from the warhawks.
Zbigniew Brzezinski said before 9/11 (aka The Grand Chessboard 1997) that nothing will stop China from becoming the No.1 global power. Brzezinski's plan was to pillage all the oil and gas fields in the east (under the guize of war against terrorism) to control China's energy demands. China however, has warned on numerous occasions that Iran is the line drawn in the sand. If crossed, China would respond with their military.
That line has been crossed. Israel has targetted Iran's energy infrastructure, including vital oil storage sites, refineries and power stations.
Will China respond or forever be dependant on US controlled oil?

Speaking to reporters at the scene of a ballistic missile impact in central Israel, Defense Minister Israel Katz says the Israeli Air Force will strike "very significant targets, strategic targets, targets of the regime and infrastructure" in Tehran today. He says the IDF will issue an evacuation warning to those in the area. Regarding Iran's nuclear sites, Katz says that the underground Fordo facility is "an issue that will certainly be addressed." He says that in Tehran "there are more than 10 nuclear targets" that Israel is "on the verge of destroying," thanks to the Israeli Air Force's aerial superiority in the area.

Lots of talk today about Israeli plans to attack major new targets in Iran. Senior officer says IDF will harm critical Iranian capabilities. “I can’t say more, but I think you’ll understand in the near future,” he tells Walla News.
