Gaza could have been a beautiful and rich piece of land.

Hotels on the Mediterranean, surrounded by sites of historical significance ... with lots of tourist money coming in.

Gas reserves underfoot for use and export.

TONS and TONS of "aid" money flowing in and investment opportunities to make that happen.

But instead, in the past 20 years, the people of Gaza took a good thing and flushed it down the toilet ... preferring to spend the money and effort on endless terrorism and the resources lay waste.

They now wallow in a situation of their own making.

What do you think? Will this decrease the violence and lead to a more stable Middle East? Was land capture the goal all along? Or is it more complex than that?

Found this image claiming that's what the two blue stripes on the Israeli flag represent:

And I am wondering what Egypt's reaction to this will be?

No.  What you do is you stand it on it's end and the Blue Bars are the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

There were lessons learned from the Nazis that have been utilized by Israel, good and bad depending how they frame it for themselves. The rest of the world knows better, however.

If they could put the Palestinians on trains, they would. The whole plan, all along, was to empty Gaza, and here they are.

Gee, I wonder who's next?

Giving my opinions on this subject, and a few others, got me banned from ATS, several times over many years. Should I expect the same here?
I know Israel and WWII can be emotional topics for some but can we even discuss these topics here?
Don't reply saying discussion is good but anti semitism is not tolerated because that is only a self-righteous lie to shut down any critical discussion.
So just tell me, how dedicated y'all are to denying ignorance and upholding free speech, in plain English or spanish.

Opinions are very rarely the problem...
it's how they are expressed which seems the most frequent cause of bad outcomes.

But, given your chip is now on your shoulder, I'm kinda wondering the same thing...

I'm particularly interested in how Egypt (who has cooperated with naval blockades as I understand it) might see this development, because I really know next to diddly-squat of what politics are like there. ?

How much of that is because they don't want the problem in their backyard? Is their population split on their support?

Mi chica es judia y yo soy una bonita tortillera. Mi mente esta dividida sobre esto, particularmente con Trump. ¿Que tienes?

But you're kind of setting yourself up to be noticed now.  You might gain extra scrutiny to see if it's bait or a legitimate expression of free speech.

While you have a right to say offensive things (to a point), a private entity such as a website has the right to moderate itself however it wants.

I don't know what you're going to say, but it already has me thinking it will be along the lines of "Zionist Occupied Government" with a side helping of holocaust denial. So it might be immediately shut down with less leeway.

And while I'd be willing to take that on point by point, and likely differ on the definition of denying ignorance, I don't speak for DI.

And constitutionally, you have it backwards here, the first amendment rights are all DI's. They are the free press. They have a press corp and everything. And all media has a first amendment protection to say, post, and edit any way they want. Even user forums. With caveats for advocating criminality.

With a population around 119 Million people, will be a lot of different views. Egypt has not reacted yet, has tried to send in a lot of aid, but stood down as Israel captured the boarder crossing.

If I was living in Egypt, I would be worried. I know Israel is not ready yet to invade Egypt. From how Israel has responded to its neighbors since its inception, just a matter of time.

Sounds like the “greater Isreal” plan.

If I were god I would do another flood, to many psychopaths, the worlds choc full of them. No wonder any possible alien civilisations out there don’t want to make contact, this world is full of nutters.

that might have been an off cuff comment, but humanity has it coming.
