The evil leftist government shutdown is for two reasons.

1.  The Commie leftists want Obamacare subsidies to stay at 93% of cost like during covid.  Because the "Affordable" Care Act is nothing but a cost increase.

2.  Medicaid Emergency funds are now not allowed to pay for illegal aliens.

I have lots of family and friends in the U.S.   Almost all of them live in rural locations.   None of them report any problems.   My friends who live in San Francisco and Oakland report some difficulties with air traffic and airport security.  Those folk I know in the Bay Area are concerned about BART services and airport shuttles.   First world problems, imo.
