Has Ukraine collapsed

Attack me, attack the narrative and grow up, argument from authority and you think you are some kind of authority ?

So now we are on to the classic "I don’t care what you think" routine, how very predictable.

Let's clear this up gently, since facts seem to bruise your ego.

There was no 10-year civil war in Ukraine between "Slavic types" no matter how many times you repeat the lie.

That's just something the internet told you after midnight on the likes of Rumble or Bitchute.

I don't think it's me who's lacking maturity, and I'm not the one failing to elucidate or make sense.

Mods are allowed to have opinions whether you care to recognise that fact or otherwise.

I suggest you take a swig of your own medicine, Creaky, because you are the one beginning to sound childish simply because you are losing an argument.

As to telling people to "trot off", quite frankly no, not while you continue to spout your Russia propaganda and fake news.

The forum is here for discussion and debate, nobody is attacking you.

You're confusing DI with what Putin's perpetrating in Ukraine.  Saint2

I don't even know how Putin, the Russians and the Ukrainians or anybody else, quite honestly, can possibly understand their own ethnic history after reading it myself.

The problem is that using history to justify war nine times out of ten cherry-picks the past.

And it ignores how much things change.

It's a recipe for turning old grudges into excuses, really.

All it does is oversimplify messy events.

Hype gulable peoples national pride.

And make violence seem unavoidable.

I don't think the Russians have that much national pride with Putin as a dictatorial leader, why would they?

As for Ukrainians having national pride, well they got to vote in a democratic process and that must have felt like freedom.

Unfortunalty the concept of national pride doesn't disappear under a dictatorship.

It's just redirected or pressured even.

I would be inclined to think a lot of Russians separate pride in culture or survival from their ""love"" of Putin.

"Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites could be targeted by new Russian weapon, Nato warns
Russia is reportedly developing a new anti-satellite weapon specifically designed to target Elon Musk’s Starlink constellation, according to intelligence findings from two Nato nations.

These reports, seen by The Associated Press, indicate the so-called “zone-effect” weapon aims to flood Starlink orbits with hundreds of thousands of high-density pellets.

Such a weapon could potentially disable multiple satellites at once, but it also carries the risk of catastrophic collateral damage to other orbiting systems. The alleged objective behind this development is to curb Western space superiority, which has played a crucial role in aiding Ukraine on the battlefield."

"The US Space Force didn’t respond to questions. The French military’s Space Command said in a statement that it could not comment on the findings but said, “We can inform you that Russia has, in recent years, been multiplying irresponsible, dangerous, and even hostile actions in space.”"

"Canada’s Brigadier General Horner said it is hard to see how clouds of pellets could be corralled to only strike Starlink and that debris from such an attack could get “out of control in a hurry”.“You blow up a box full of BBs,” he said. Doing that would “blanket an entire orbital regime and take out every Starlink satellite and every other satellite that’s in a similar regime. And I think that’s the part that is incredibly troubling.”"

"Ms Samson suggested the spectre of a supposed new Russian threat may also be an effort to elicit an international response."

Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites could be targeted by new Russian weapon, Nato suspects | The Independent

It could just be a threat to intimidate or not. China may have a say in this because they are developing their own version of Starlink and don't want Putin's BB pellet cloud anywhere near it. I can just imagine it now, the ricocheting effects.

ETA:

Then again, China has not yet developed their starlink version so Putin could very well take out Musk's Starlink before they launch their. They would then basically rule space communication.

Bully's need to be stopped.

Whatever Russia's contribution is (gas, etc) -- isn't worth this nonsense in a global world.

His statement was typical Trump bloviating.
That's IRRELEVANT to what I said.   You are deflecting.

We absolutely can bring Biden in on the discussions of the Ukraine/Russia war.
He was POTUS when it broke out.
He was POTUS for years while it raged on.
He was played by Putin and Zelenskyy both.
He is part of the discussion .. like it or not.
And clearly you don't like it.
Biden is the MAIN point of the discussion besides Putin!

If it wasn't for Biden's personal meddling and using Ukraine as a money laundering mat, and his machinations as Vice President, including the McCain, Graham, Nuland, neo Nazi coddling, neocon warmongering nonsense, Putin never would have invaded!

Yeah maybe. But I might posit that suspending elections and rounding up young men into vans as conscripts puts a dent in those feelings of freedom.

I’m not sure I disagree with what you’re saying. But. We don’t know what caused Putin to do what he did, when he did it or why. And if he pulled the trigger and opted to go at Ukraine because he sensed Biden as being weak, he equally has Trump over a barrel too atm.

just my two pennies.
