Has Ukraine collapsed
#1
Noticing that Putin has been very Russian in his conflict with Ukraine, methodically cautious and precise
Slowly moving forward, hard to compare the way Putin wages war with anything that the US has done recently, noting that the nature of modern military tactics have changed so significantly with drones
Last couple of days, Russia have gained some interesting ground and very rapidly, on motorbikes. Uke soldiers have been retreating en mass.

Kind of wondering if Ukraine soldiers have had enough, not just the fighting but the corruption being reported back in Kiev.
Have the boots on ground reached their limit, realised they are not just fighting Russia but also have to fight their own corrupt leaders in the years ahead

Short Answer is Ukraine has not collapsed. By the way Russia is conducing the war they have their own internal problems.

War sucks but this war is really bad IMO as you are not safe concealed, in the Air, in a building or a dugout/trench; there is a drone with your name on it looking for you.

You don't get to have "enough" when you're fighting for the survival of your nation.

Many Ukrainian troops will fight until the last man standing.

And even if they were eventually forced to capitulate, all Russia would have won is a piece of land nine times the size of Ireland, along with the same "troubles" that come with it.

Picture the French Resistance or the IRA supplied and armed with Western MANPADS and Javelins.

Freedom to Ukraine, and down with the Russian invaders.

So not much difference from the internal civil war before Russia invaded
Think most of the reports I am seeing is old men being forceably conscripted, surrounded and surrendering, lack of support and loss of faith in those in control.

Would you fight for a corrupt government? Maybe, seems like the Ukes’ have had enough, maybe not

The entire region, including the Russian homeland, would be a guerrilla army's playground.

So, very different in scope and scale.

It wouldn't just be in parts of Donetsk or Luhansk Oblast where unrest would erupt.

It would be everywhere, imagine the IRA on steroids, because that's what you would get.

I would only ever fight for my nation to repel an invasion on home soil, Creaky.

And i wouldn't be fighting for a government, but for the man standing next to me.

Again, there is no "enough" when your very survival as a sovereign nation is at stake.

Unless you wish to live on your knees as opposed to dying on your feet.

Fk NATO, they started the war. The Ukraine is a region of Russia.
I was not here.

Russia was the one who crossed into a sovereign state unprovoked.

After telling repeated porky pies about troop buildups on borders being of no concern, and nothing more than a military exercise.

Ukraine has been internationally recognised as an independent nation since 1991.

And that includes by the Russian Federation.

NATO is a defensive alliance, it did not attack Russia.

Blaming NATO rewrites events and ignores Russia's clear responsibility.

Then the European Union should send in troops.  I really think Putin might not stop at the Ukraine.   But Europe seemed more concerned with cheap energy.  Europe help create the Putin monster and now doesn’t want to do what it will take to clean up the mess.
