Having your knee stamped on by a 16 Stone rugby guy and your kneecap ending up under your knee and having a pioneering operation to repair it with carbon fiber tends to make you inelligible for military service.

So, enough of this bollox.

Let's get real here. Were President Trumps comments wrong? Absolutely. Disgraceful? Nah, that's blowing the comments up bigger that what they were.

Breaking down some facts:

The US supplied 5.5 times the soldiers than the entirety of NATO did and suffered 2 times the casualties (I think that says something about American combat effectiveness).

Americans were THE primary force at every hot zone (read "front line").

Could the US have conducted operations in Afghanistan without NATO assistance? Indubitably.

This doesn't reduce the honorable service and noble sacrifice of those we were privileged to fight beside.

These arguments are getting retarded.
I love how the left is obsessively fixated on Trump's every word, and his every word irritates them so.

The left used to be dreamers; now they are the screamers

Trump is negotiating, he always does, and will continue to comment till the Greenland deal is finalized, and if it's to his level, he will talk about how huge it is, and if it's less than he wanted, he will still talk about it being the best thing ever, till something goes sideways that Greenland-related and then he will say if they would have approved his version whatever problems would have never happened.

I could watch Barack's speeches, disagree with them completely, without getting emotionally involved.

Im sure I did some Obama threads like the Arab Spring, Benghazi, Hillary's emails, etc.  BITD

but

Let's just say the left was more detached in those threads, and the foreigners certainly didn't give a damn when Obama did something stupid.

Quote:
  1. 1. Benghazi Attack (2012)
The attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others. Critics accused the administration of inadequate security, misleading the public by initially blaming a protest over an anti-Islam film (rather than terrorism), and a cover-up to protect Obama's foreign policy image ahead of the 2012 election. Multiple congressional investigations found no direct wrongdoing by Obama but highlighted State Department failures and inconsistent messaging.
  2. IRS Targeting Controversy (2013)
The IRS gave extra scrutiny (delays, audits) to conservative/Tea Party groups applying for tax-exempt status before the 2012 election. Critics called it weaponization of government against political opponents (echoing Nixon-era abuses). Obama condemned it as "inexcusable," and investigations found mismanagement but no direct White House involvement or criminal conspiracy proven.
  3. Operation Fast and Furious (2010–2011)
A Justice Department ATF program allowed guns to be sold to suspected straw purchasers to track them to Mexican cartels, but agents lost track of thousands. One gun was linked to the killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Critics accused the administration of reckless endangerment and a cover-up (including Obama's invocation of executive privilege over documents). Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt by Congress, but no major charges stuck.
  4. NSA Surveillance Revelations / Edward Snowden Leaks (2013)
Edward Snowden exposed massive NSA programs collecting phone metadata and internet data on Americans and allies. Critics (from both sides) called it an egregious overreach on privacy and civil liberties. Obama defended it as necessary for national security but reformed some aspects.
  5. Solyndra Loan Scandal (2011)
The Energy Department provided a $535 million loan guarantee to solar company Solyndra, which went bankrupt, costing taxpayers. Critics alleged cronyism (ties to Obama donors) and wasteful spending on green energy "picks and winners." Investigations found poor due diligence but no criminality.
Other frequently mentioned but often seen as less "egregious" by critics include:
  • The AP phone records seizure (Justice Department subpoenaed reporters' records in a leak probe, criticized as press freedom violation).
  • Hillary Clinton's private email server (while she was Secretary of State; FBI called handling "extremely careless" but no charges).
  • Drone strikes and foreign policy decisions (e.g., support for Saudi actions in Yemen or responses to Arab Spring), viewed by some as moral or strategic failures rather than scandals.

Retarded?  No, Trump's dissing our dead and injured is what is retarded.

Address your comments to the families of our dead and those maimed and injured.

I'm sure you will get nice responses....

Love seeing the Trump 'tards rushing to defend the draft dodger waste of space with their whataboutisms, whilst making no effort to disagree with the scumbag for sh*ting on the memory of those that died responding to the call from a NATO ally .

As for sleepy Joe, please post about his attempts at seizing Greenland and shitting on the dead in the forum or  [Image: glompoff.gif]

As for those attempting to be-little the contribution made by NATO by attempting to back up Scumbag Trump's claims....
This a list of the top 10 of those countries that lost soldiers, Check the per capita numbers (the last one) to get a better understanding

They dominate rare-earth processing.

They invested early in refining, we didn't.

Greenland does have potential rare earth and mineral deposits.

I hate to suggest this, but Venezuela is probably the better bet.

Rare earth element ores are not that rare.  The US is comparatively rich in them.  The monopoly as you have stated is refining and processing which is expensive.

Lol  own it.

 it isnt always about you.

Europe and the UK  care about Europe and the UK, and considering their obvious
decline especially the UK's, there nothing Uncle Sam "needs" from most of the
pissy West

Trump's just sorting out who America can trust, Starmer and Brits are low on the list

Trump's knows NATO's effective days are over, because Eisenhower was correct
The UK is less secure than ever because its full of autistic boys bed ridden by
dairy allegies. Soy boyz that build Super embassies for XI/China, why because
the once colonial UK naval world power now prefers to be dominated and subjected
and has grown lazy fat and content, living under Uncle Sammy's warm and secure
NATO blanket.

Now they have to pay a fair portion into thier own defense, after 70 years of
letting thier military crumble.and thier purse is a little lighter than usual

Atleast keep up your navy, ya short sighted, English kniiiiniiigits FFS...
