I could see that except this time Trump said that the 25% tariffs would be on until those countries agreed that Greenland should be part of the USA.   They won't agree.   So Trump is kind of stuck eating his own words if he drops the tariffs in a couple of weeks.

I think he says make it America, but will take less hell, a few Guantanamos, whatever land  "the Dome" needs a naval base or 2 and an air base maybe, a moving percentage of mineral rights. 

NATO and especially the stoic 7 need Uncle Sam much more than the other way around.

John Fetterman disarms a CBS reporter into saying the quiet part out loud:

buying Greenland is “not at all” a bad idea.

Tony Dokoupil probably wishes he hadn’t said this on camera. It proves Democrats actually like the idea when it comes from a different messenger.
