Couldn't follow you on this.
Not sure what you were saying.
The rest of your post, I agree with.

Look at the way he is acting Flyers.

He's acting like a dictator.

And from the USA.

That's just not normal.

Disregarding being told "No" is dangerous.

Where does it end for a start?

With Greenland.

Then what, Iceland next?

Because it has been mentioned.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

His memory doesn't seem to be bad.
It was just a campaign promise to get elected.
A lie.
They all lie.
They all say they are different.
But they aren't.
He's just like the rest of them .. campaign promises to get elected
and no intention of following through.

Contrast with the lickspittle apologetics NPR offered for Obama:

Quote:Pledging To End Two Wars, Obama Finds Himself Entangled In Three

President Obama entered the White House with a pledge to bring home U.S. troops from two major wars. Now it looks almost certain he will leave office with U.S. forces engaged in three ongoing conflicts: Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Throughout his tenure, Obama's impulse has been to shrink the U.S. military footprint in the Middle East. He's called for a greater emphasis on diplomacy, and taking the broader view, he wants the U.S. to shift more resources to Asia and the Pacific.

As recently as January 2014, Obama was still touting his troop drawdown and believed he was on the path to achieving it:

"When I took office, nearly 180,000 Americans were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, all our troops are out of Iraq. More than 60,000 of our troops have already come home from Afghanistan. With Afghan forces now in the lead for their own security, our troops have moved to a support role. Together with our allies, we will complete our mission there by the end of this year, and America's longest war will finally be over."

But as the Middle East goes through a period of historic upheaval, Obama has changed course. He's faced criticism from some liberals who say he hasn't stuck to his promises, and from many conservatives who argue that the military drawdowns have weakened the U.S. standing.

Overall, the U.S. military presence in the region is a small fraction of what it was when Obama entered office. Yet during his presidency, the U.S. has bombed seven separate Muslim countries. He's reluctantly launched an air campaign in Syria, returned U.S. forces to Iraq, and on Thursday he announced he would extend the stay of the troops in Afghanistan.

He again emphasized this was not his preferred option.

"As you are well aware, I do not support the idea of endless war. I have repeatedly argued against marching into open-ended military conflicts that do not secure our core security interests," he said.

But, he added, "I'm firmly convinced that we should make this extra effort."

Note the passive voice. Gosh golly, despite his best efforts, he "found himself" entangled in more wars. However could that have happened??

cuz' he wants to be one.
They all push the limits of the law.
All of them.
But he goes to new heights.

Last poll I saw said 85% of the country disagrees
with what he's doing with Greenland.   (no I don't have
a link, can't remember where I saw that).   He doesn't
have the support for forcing Greenland.   It could end
up being his undoing.   Both Republicans and Democrats
dont' like it.

I will be glad when he's done in 2028.
(if he lasts that long).
But honestly, looking at the front runner crop for 2028,
I'm not seeing 'better'.
Bunch of freak'n clowns.
Just as bad .. in their own way.

... and I'm sure the left wing media gave him a pass.  Afterall ... it was the great and wonderful half black Obama so you couldn't say anything negative about him.

They all make campaign promises.
And those promises mean nothing.
The voting public  hasnt figured that out yet.
(and that goes for Canada, UK, Europe, ... everywhere as well)

The media give a free pass to the lies told by Democrats.
But expose the lies told by Republicans.

Dementia tends to affect one's memory.

I still remember from ATS -- the horrors of Hillary being elected because she would start WWIII.

Oh well -- she wasn't on the Right team.

Look, stuff left/right politics and the media, your President is threatening NATO whilst sucking up to Putin.

The man is a menace to the World.

And, yes.  He is obviously not all there.

Trump's push here in Greenland is ABSOLUTELY crazy.

Why now?

Why so urgent?

Is he trying to break NATO?

Even if his cheddar cheese hair has slid off his cracker, somebody in his cabinet is pushing this.

We know the obvious reasons they just don't fit the urgency...

Didn't see this posted... Im not a fan, typical NYC businessman negotiation tactics when they believe they are in the driver's seat, it's so over the top it could be complete subterfuge.

Because on the surface it's a bit much for international real estate talks, even for Trump, makes no sense... It's a distraction, and if it's really for "The Dome" BS, then this is being MIC-influenced for better or worse.
