I think I understood where Budgie was coming from. Now, I can stand corrected when I'm wrong. If they were indeed animal bones, then so be it. However, that doesn't negate the population response to the initial report, especially among the native.

That specific story aside, native children did get removed from their family up until at least the 70's, since my mother is actually one. You'd think such behavior from the canadian government won't be seen as a 'good' neighbor.

As for nationalism, which one are we referring to? The one before the name 'Canada' came around (you can apply that to the US or any other 'country',  same thing), or the one after?

USA: hey Greenland, china and Russia  are becoming  a bigger threat can we expand our military  Base there?

Greenland/demark: your totally  right, yeah take more of the empty land.  But in exchange why not help us extract some of the resources.  Of the profits 30% goes to Greenland to help the people,  30% goes to Denmark with half of it into defence  to be better NATO allies. And the other 40% the USA.

Was reading another thread and found this, it’s explains the real reason for the interest in Greenland and also a model they would like to introduce on American soil too.

Since Trump and Rubio are both smart, I think the conversation goes like this:
NATO is a dead donkey on one-way street. The US will keep it propped up so y'all can continue to play army and buy cheap Russian gas, just compensate us with, say, Greenland. Otherwise we pull out of NATO and make 57,000 new multi-millionaires who will agree to change the name to Red, White and Blueland.
