Gov Internet Shills.
#1
Would say if you've got the time it's worth exploring the links found in this new article regarding government internet shills who actively mislead people online.

Quote:Long-time Corbetteers will recall my 2018 report on The Weaponization of Social Media, in which I reported that:

• the Pentagon was “buying software that will enable the American military to create and control fake online personas—fake people, essentially—who will appear to have originated from all over the world”;

• government-owned computers at the Army Corps of Engineers offices in New Orleans were caught verbally attacking critics of the Corps;

• Israeli groups were giving courses on how to edit Wikipedia articles to ensure content on the online encyclopedia remains “Zionist in nature”; and

• an internal document from the GCHQ—Britain’s NSA equivalent—
had been leaked, exposing that the British spies were using social media platforms to spread propaganda and influence public opinion.

And that was seven years ago. Imagine how much worse things have gotten since then, after the Q Anonsense psyop and the advent of the 77th Brigade and the takeover of every major social media platform by “ex”-intelligence officials

Yes, it’s no surprise to anyone in the conspiracy realist community that the internet is flooded with spies who are actively attempting to mislead you.

This is also a relevant older article but always worth a repost as it deals with subversive CoIntelPro techniques for 'dilution, misdirection and control of a internet forum' - sounds pretty pathetic but some of the tactics involve 'forum sliding'; 'consensus cracking' and 'topic dilution'.

Did you ever get the feeling that the Netflix series Black Mirror was more of a handbook than it was a collection of stories?

Sounds as if TPTB got tired of feeding the GP all thier bullshit, and will use bots and AI to feed the public all TPTB's bullshit.

The OP articles are about American, British and Israelis doing it.
But we know China and Russia do it as well.
The GOP does it.   So do the Democrats.
Everyone of relevance is doing it.

Ha yes it definitely crossed my mind mate - great TV series though!

Found it hilarious that there's actually a 'troll training program' where these subversive losers can hone their techniques.

Reckon everyone should watch that video if they are considering posting on an online forum.

Boy. This is pretty neat.

Sounds like an authoritarian’s wet dream.

i mean for example, how many posts were laid out by these programs at the behest of a government or government partner to entrap people?

like how the FBI will groom people just to arrest them later.

oh. And the plausible deniability is pretty grand here too.

I think the Chinese, Russians, North Koreans and Iranians are experts at it, the west is playing catch up as they tended to target individuals and groups.  China and Russian have experience of controlling an entire populations internet.

Yes, that's always been a problem with the West—just too darn high-minded and honest. We just don't think the same way they do.

I wouldn't say that.
  I just don't think the west looked at it in such a huge scale. They lacked the imagination for total mass control till witnessing it by the countries I stated.   Lol
