The Ferals was a very Australian TV show, so it didn't do well in overseas markets. Keeping Up Appearances was a hit in the UK and Australia, but it was too far culturally removed to enjoy success in the U.S.

If any ever wonders about why older generations get so irritated with the "feel" of "policing."

The Andy Griffith show was the "image of preference" for peace officers...

(But then, it easier to achieve in a community of a few hundred... as opposed to a metropolis.... )

It was on my "will watch" list as a kid.
