No it's not officially.

Govt sites provide services in Welsh but English is in reality our language and I don't think there is any need to make it officially so.

Don't know if you've noticed recently but English (and Welsh) are becoming rapidly 'obsolete' OldCarpy.

Do you realise this and just don't care (or are in childish denial)?

You should see the extras sheet of paper I get with snail mail from my Healthcare provider....it lists about 20  languages that are supported and acknowledged.


We have food products in cans and boxes using more than one language....so far either English/Spanish or English/French.

Soon to include Russian. Probably.

I went to a new carniceria with a tiny restaurant inside last weekend and they spoke no english at all really.  I had to use my pidgin Spanish to get my meal (pollo asado- grande, (al carbon), papas fritas y alitas picante) but yeah really hard ,actually, on the phone ordering was worse. but it worked! rofl
and theyve been in town for years. but neither the 20 something daughter nor the parents spoke english.  merica
