I’m sorry to hear that DB.

I don’t want to sound trite, but everything seems to work out in the end. (Note that I didn’t say works out well in the end).

I was involved in politics at a younger age and I can say that it is in fact theatre. Anyone who believes that Cspan is real, or Question Period (in Canada) is delusional. I truly hate the bickering about political parties etc. because I have seen the seemingly intense arguments occur, and then watch them leave together, laughing in the back hallways.

I know you all have different party affiliations etc, but it does come down to what keeps you and your friends and family together, healthy and happy.

The shutdown is due to an opinion written by Carter's AG in 1980.

Trump could end it now.

We never needed to have the government shutdown.

Before 1980, when they had budget disputes, they never shutdown government.

As I understand it the Republicans would have to end the filibuster tatic to reopen the government on their own and they could in fact do that, are you guys okay with that?

Saw on the news this morning, two women were trying to steal some shopping carts worth of food a couple towns over from mine, workers were trying to stop them and were getting physically assaulted by the women.

I have never seen that before!  

I know there are some really stupid people bragging on tictok about abusing the system, but I think they are just rage baiting for hits.  The majority of people out there need them.  

Shame on anyone who thinks starving is funny!

People better start voting all elections (including local).

In other countries they'll cut your hands off for stealing. I'm guessing you think the lady should have been allowed to leave with the food. That would be the quickest way to bring a capitalist empire down, steal all it's assets and drain it of all it's capitol. 42 million people on government hand outs it's not a few who are abusing the system it's probably more than half. It's sad because if people would just act right we would have the resources to take care of those who cannot take of themselves.

You are wrong.  I do not believe they should have been allowed to just steal it.

They got arrested, and released.

I have seen so much food thrown away from various companies I’ve worked at through the years that could help feed people.

I have gone through a few periods in my life where I very rarely got food, as a child as well.  It is awful!   

My new job I have two coworkers who told me they literally applied for over 100 jobs before they got the one they have now.  They are both mothers, one girl
has 3 girls,  the other has two.    These women are working hard and through no fault of their own, they were abandoned by the fathers.  They get no support.

My ex took me to court to fight child support when my son was 10, and he won!  He was receiving ssdi (for a bogus made up mental disability - he only worked maybe 10 years  of his life), while I worked two jobs.  I had to pay for braces (all my neighbors got them for free).   

I’ m just saying, this country sent tons of money to Ukraine to annihilate thousands of people for what?  Resources, anyone with an IQ over 80 can see that; but children are going to go hungry in the USA?
