End this shutdown!
#1
This thread is is a shout-out to any lawmaker and all citizens.
This shutdown is now directly affecting my family.
To the Democrats that are foaming at the mouth. This shutdown does nothing to help your cause. You may think it does but it does not.
To the Republicans, if the tariffs are raking in so much money then what's the fucking problem?
Honestly if we never had a FED then this would've been an issue solved long ago through state initiated through fair trade agreements that would just go on day by day.
But no we have this stupid incompetent federal government that has a bunch of stupid whining brats at the helm all hopped up on some cracked out fever dream that they can solve all the worlds problems because they in their oh so awesome "vaniterical"( yes I just added a new word to the English language) minds think they know best.
If this shutdown does not end in a very timely fashion then it is very much a predictable future of some people doing some dumb shit.
I am looking at you Democrats.
You can save face and just sign whatever and if it's bad for the Republicans then so be it and you will win some prize.
And in doing so you can have some leverage going forward as the savior. If you do not you will starting Monday loose oh so much support that you are grasping for.

Tell that to the Democrats.
It's a clean CR.
They are just trying to make Trump look bad.
And it's not working.
They are the ones looking like crap.

The shutdown is due to an opinion written by Carter's AG in 1980.

Trump could end it now.

We never needed to have the government shutdown.

Before 1980, when they had budget disputes, they never shutdown government.

Smoke and mirrors.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

So who should I be angry at because the heart medication my pops needs is now a week late and he has surgery on the 4th and I am freaking out.
I called the VA and they keep telling me it's coming and is being processed but I don't have it and it just in limbo. I don't subscribe to coincidence.

The VA is fully funded and not part of the shutdown.

I know, I currently work for the VA.

Maybe you can help explain why this medication is late.
I am not sure if this violates T&C but fuck it I don't care.
The medication is called Empagliflozin

Sorry, not my field.  I don't know Pharmacy or their policies.

I did a search and Empagliflozin isn't on a shortage list.

Thank you for taking the time to check.
It is what it is.

Empagliflozin is the generic name for Jardiance, isn't it?

Haven't had any difficulty refilling prescriptions for that through CVS.  Perhaps it is just the VA, or just the kne VA you are going through, that is having a shortage?

Could your dad's doctor employ some sort of "workaround" for a temporary supply?

Jardiance has shown to be a very good prophylactic in cardiac applications.  But it sounds like you're concerned that your dad is missing out on a far more acute drug treatment for his condition?

As primarily a prophylaxis, I wouldn't  stress out too much over a week, or even three, of missed doses.

I will look into that, thank you.
