your job sounds interesting!  I would imagine it will go fine for you!

Thank you for your reply.

It is definitely s/v #3.  I was warned about her before I began working there, and pretty much put up with her abuse for 2 years because I am a single mom and need to provide for my son.   She’s already gaslighting s/v #4 I have heard.  I’m guessing so she can get her shift and be up Mgrs butt more.  People there think she has a crush on the Mgr.

Giving an example of her exemplary service:  We a cust 5 years ago who would come in looking for butter cookies.  He would ask her every week when they were coming in.  She would get frustrated with him (and instead of checking inventory orders) she says to him one day, “We don’t have any butter cookies and we never will”, the gentleman was upset and he says “Never, never again” to which she replies Nope never.  He stormed out, never saw him again.  I witnessed her doing this multiple times (always to the seniors) cause she’s lazy.  My sister still to this day refers to her as BUTTER COOKIES :)

I remembered the day after my meeting seeing her tell one of the pizza guys he had to change his #, I was to her right, and I thought that was weird because they used their work # for 7 years.  I asked her about it and she didn’t answer me.  The very next day, I get called in for it.  Timing is very telling.  Then her being happy and saying you’ll find another job.  My other s/v and mgr cried.  S/v3 was happy!

It’s all good though, I truly believe it was time to move on.  I would sit in my car for 5 minutes saying to myself it’s showtime everytime I had to work with her lolol.

Most workplace bullying is perped by mediocre people attacking talented people.

Sometimes, mediocre staff who are rarely pulled up provide a valuable service to managers and HR staff. They can be relied upon to help meet managerial or company objectives and aware or not, each overlooked performance infringement, is a nail their own coffin.

In your case and in light of the ages of these other women, I would consider some of the biting comments and trouble making/relationship interference as indicative of 'change rage'. I'm a woman and very much dislike when hormonal stresses are used to explain female behaviour and dismis validity of sometimes pertinent issues but having been on the receiving end, I can say, change rage is a thing.

Doesn't matter if people have stresses at home, they've no right taking it out anywhere let alone the workplace, unprofessional.

In your shoes, I'd start looking for another job. If there is a reasonable chance of quick reemployment (don't know how jobs market is working where you live), I'd hand in notice and insist on exit interview with high rank HR or area manager. Tell them your concerns at poor management. Just don't let it slip into bitchy comments.

Change rage could be a thing I suppose!

This I believe are cases of personality disorders that have been able to get away with it.

I’m already on to better things thank god!

I overheard a couple of supervisors complaining about the high turnover rate once. I smugly suggested maybe management should be looked at and boy did I get the death stares. I walked away rolling my eyes. Typical day.

I relished it....

I highly unreliable story...

I looked at the very stricken "managers" and actually felt their blood pressure rise...

I told them that they had lost sight of the point...

and it showed in their commitment to each other and the company.

one left the room, three remained.

I confessed: "I love not owing you goddamned courtesy when you use it like currency."

The owner loved me.

.... you must speak truth to power...

I got lucky... the right place and the right time.... and I never wanted to be there again.

I no longer work and I'm so glad I invested enough through the years to where I don't have to. Because of DEI policies and foreign cheap labor. Working for corporations is now a sweat shop hellscape.
These days they are setting up and firing long time employs to replace them with low wage younger employs. Complaining is of little help. I did sue and won a settlement with my company. Glad to get revenge and  screw those bastards over.  But I don't recommend suing because the Judicial system is unpredictable.

I hear ICE is hiring.  You could possibly get some type of desk job with your experience. And help move the commies out of the country.

You might consider quitting or retiring if you aren't happy with the job. Just don't get stressed out over it.
