DoorDash driver gets lost ends up on O'Hare tarmac
#1
This doesn't give me the warm fuzzies about our airports' security...

There has to be video

"was somehow able to make it through secured areas and even *crossed runways*" can you imagine watching that from a taxing 747?

NEW: DoorDash food delivery driver somehow gets lost and ends up on the Chicago O'Hare International Airport tarmac. Um... The driver, according to CBS News. The individual reportedly drove for miles on the interior of the airport before being caught. Police say the individual was a 36-year-old man who "accidentally drove into an unauthorized secured area within O'Hare Airport." The man was not charged or cited.

Actual LOLs

Big hearty fuk U to doordash, uber eats and grubhub.

Never use them on purpose. Sometimes the restaurants that I think have their own drivers use them and I don't approve but at least I am not being charged their exorbitant rates.
Its like-
Pickup sandwich. free
Use sandwich restaurant delivery. like $5 to $8 extra
Use 3rd party delivery creeps $15 to $20 extra and half the time it does not show up at all, or the NEXT DAY (yes for real) and if it does it's freezing cold and destroyed.

We order delivery for work and home more than we should, but sometimes have funky hours

We order from DD sometimes, and sometimes from the restaurant if they have good service and prices. Our goto Chinese and Suishi place both deliver

Sometimes Door Dash is fine, sometimes it sucks we try not to order at peak hours. We've never had a problem getting a refund, though,  I guess it could be the location.

GrubHub is dead to me.  I used them a half dozen times or so and had my card number stolen twice.  I filed a complaint but no one bothered to reply.

The list of complaints for all these services is endless, over the years. We keep giving them second chances, but never again.
Besides showing up on the wrong day (yes. haha) we also have 2 hours late ('no one else wanted it so i deserve a huge tip'), showing up with only half the order.
Showing up with the order half eaten.

From the security point of view.
Pro tip apparently.
You want to sneak into a GOV base or airport?
Just carry a food bag and a Grubhub baseball cap and say you have a delivery for Sandoval/ Sanchez/ Smith. something common.  Buzzed right in? lol

As someone who is extremely familiar with the flight line, I find this story lacking some details. Gates do not just get left open so some rando idiot can just drive on to the tarmac. Gross negligence of airport security, who are more than likely some bottom of the barrel union worker, is the only explanation. The driver had to bypass not one but several gates to even get to the tarmac.
