OK... tampons in mens' rooms only makes sense if you are a female who identifies socially as male. Enter the stereotypical men's room and you're out of luck if you are a menstruating "man."
But, having raised three daughters, I know not all bathrooms (for females included) dispense tampons at all.
In other words, having access to sanitary materials falls on the person who needs it to use some forethought on their part, if they need them.
Providing this product is a consideration, not an 'earned privilege' or a 'right of service.'
(Unless there is a law that states ALL female facilities MUST offer access to tampons... then male-identifying people would be forced to use "female" facilities in a surrender to their biological state... not dignifying at all.)
Now it is argued that in the name of "fairness" to those facing such a choice.... and 'institutional recognition' ... they must offer this 'concession' for the sake of protecting the 'appearances.'
We pay them for this time and attention... and also, they are paid well by 'others.'
Follow the money when we find ourselves 'spending resources' on personal 'perception' issues.
It's a massive profit opportunity for the 'market' minded.
I think, considering there is such a thing a 'communities' of people...
and all humans have, as a people, often oppressed and punished the undeserving...
Activist wishing to "help" the cause should focus less on 'showmanship' and more on the content of their message "to the world"
Because while you may think that which you speak on behalf of so many others... rounds out to "Relax, chill out, it's all good fun!" ... they are seeing you mocking them cruelly as a response.... adolescent much?
In the end, these activist (media) antics and irritations incite the morally ambiguous into a knee jerk - chaotic - mess. Message: Lost.
Human's seem either disinclined, or very interested in "standing out."
Expressing yourself in conduct and appearance isn't necessarily intended to "stand out."
Media, generally, exacerbated the tropes of a community's skittishness with the unusual...
Every child's cartoon, every 'comedy' feature the odd-ball character in the background...
a mocking image...
consistently now...
It has caused us "laugh and mock" anyone different with more ease and less personal consideration... another knee-jerk response 'positively' conditioned into a society ... via entertainment.
In my time... being gay is nothing to openly smirk at, unless you carry motivations of your own.
Before my time as an adult, you were whispered about, a secret cousin, an acquaintance of an acquaintance.
Today... with powerful media contributions...
the most apt phrase generally to apply to being gay is, "No one cares."
However... the "Activism" question of "I am what I feel.... CELEBRATE ME!" Is a non-sequitor.
For each community, for each culture, for every grouping within the distinctly human world... the precept is axiomatic and foundational" "We are NOT the ENTIRE world."
So how do we play this game where subcultures and hybrid ideological parties pretend they should control everyone? And then threaten us if we 'talk about it?" What exactly are the rules in such a scenario?
It's so sad that activism is like a powerful tool for awareness...
and then the media turned into a clown show...
just like they did with debates.
So sad.
(Sorry folks... I know... TLDR.)
