Trump, however, seems to just revel in it and double down on his lies when he is challenged. But this is off topic to the murder of Charlie Kirk, its circumsatnces, and fall-out.

I suppose she had decided that since New Zealand had gotten through the pandemic in better shape than most countries, that she had done right by her constituents and had little to add from that point. Also, I think she had a normal healthy median build for a woman in her mid thirties (but I suppose, in comparison, she is skinny).

The rest and even most of that 10% eventually are in it for power and then money. How do you think they get rich beyond their pay scale? I know too much and question everything.

Day by day, their influence dimishes... Which means, USA will win.... Although, I fully expect the death throes of a failed ideology, will result in much more suffering, I pray that this next phase, ends in months, rather than the years we have already been dealing with it... YMMV

How do you think they get rich beyond their pay scale? At the point where most politicians start out in politics, they are usually very poorly compensated. They usually have to give up well paying jobs and hope that they will actually get elected to the representative positions that they are vying for against numerous, some very well established, opponents. A fair number of them loose their election and don't have enough capital, gumption, or party support to remain flogging a dead horse until the next election cycle. Just like the guys who end up at the top of corporate ladders, compensation is usually more than the amount of work that they put in to getting there. That is part of how capitalism operates. It offers advantages to those who can 'take' more profits. Unfortunately the same extends to political systems, which are the ultimate corporates within geographic boundaries. Unlike all other US Presidents, who are supposed to divest themselves of their business interests while serving (to prevent conflicts of interest in serving the nation above all), Trump remained in control of his companies, launched new business arms and promoted them, even integrating them into his Presidential operations. Trump's business ventures spark new conflict-of-interest concerns And after his first term, he was straight back in there, and even now he is probably managing director of Trump businesses in his second term. Donald Trump’s Business Empire Keeps Expanding If you want to know who is a crooked, self-interested politician, there's one big indicator! Also, bringing it back to the topic somewhat, Turning Point USA is an $85 million dollar company (tax exempt non-profit?) that paid Charlie Kirk, its executive director, $325,000 per year. Where did that money come from? Students? I can't argue against your point, but I was going even further back, like the 60s and 70s, we lived as blue-collar Democrats till the Reagan revolution, and even then voted for Clinton and Obama's first terms. Right now, the Democratic Party is pretty much like James McAvoy in the movie Split
