There is no logic in both scenarios, the logical thing to do would be to deal with the root of the problem not to just let the problem continue.

The post you quoted doesn't say that Kirk's statements about gun control are reason to murder him, or even suggests it. You are, ironically, making a fallacious logical leap just so you can attack liberals for their poor logic. Try painting this sort of map across the entire world. You'll see gun violence is a much bigger problem in places where guns are legal. It's not close at all.

"Political/ideological signals Across cases, most shooters leave no clear political affiliation. Among those who do, incidents tied to Islamist extremism (e.g., Orlando 2016, San Bernardino 2015) and far-right or white-supremacist ideologies (e.g., El Paso 2019, Buffalo 2022) are prominent. Academic and monitoring groups analyzing ideologically motivated killings (a narrower slice than all mass public shootings) have, in some years, found right-wing extremism dominating extremist-linked deaths; however, this is not the same as saying most mass public shootings overall are ideologically motivated or right-wing. Distinguishing “mass public shooting” from “extremist-related mass killing” and from “active shooter” is crucial for honest comparisons. Unlike a lot here Do you not quite understand the map? Guns are legal in all of the red areas, but somehow, in the blue areas they are the biggest problem. When most of the blue areas have the strictest gun laws. Why would gun violence not be the bigger probelm in the area that has the most guns?

I simply posted a map showing facts that just so happened to be red and blue. If you pay really close attention, there are areas on that map that are blue but are under Republican control..... you might want to stop letting your bias get the best of you

I happen to think this shooting was politically motivated, extremist motivated, and that's where my replies hail from. You want to ignore the truth that right wing extremists account for more shootings and mass shootings, so you want to deflect. That's fine, but don't just put nonsense out there without any context, it does not serve any of us in finding out the truth of what the real underlying problems are.
