2 men arrested after explosive device is found under news media vehicle in Salt Lake City | KSL.com

SALT LAKE CITY — Two men were arrested after police found an explosive device under a news media vehicle on Friday.
 
Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were both arrested for investigation of manufacturing or possessing a weapon of mass destruction, threat of terrorism, attempted aggravated arson, and possessing or removing incendiary items and their parts, according to a police booking affidavit.
 
The Salt Lake City Police Department Bomb Squad and the Unified Fire Authority Arson/Bomb Squad responded to a suspicious device on Friday in Salt Lake City.
Police say they found the device placed under a news media vehicle parked next to an occupied building and determined it to be a real explosive device. It "had been lit but failed to function as designed," according to the affidavit.
 
The document did not give an address for the building, nor did it have information on what bomb experts did to defuse the device.
The two suspects were located in Magna after the FBI assumed primary jurisdiction. Agents served a federal search warrant at the residence of the suspects on Saturday, police documents indicate.
 
Inside, authorities found both suspects, "two hoax weapons of mass destruction," two firearms and illegal narcotics, according to the documents.
The suspects said that the devices were real when asked about them, and police documents stated that law enforcement then evacuated the residence to "initiate disposal procedures." Nearby residences were also evacuated.
 
Police requested that the suspects be held without bail to prevent further threats to the public.
 
The FBI seized evidence related to the explosive devices from the Salt Lake City scene and evidence of other crimes, according to the affidavit. That evidence included firearms, explosives and related components, illegal narcotics and electronic devices, the document says.

Ok so why is this story part of the Charlie Kirk story. Well, the station that was targeted was FOX 13 news that was covering the Kirk assassination. 

So now we have people wearing the same clothes as the shooter, faked ideologies for the shooter, people claiming to be the shooter right after the shooting happened, and now we have a possible attack on a news crew that was covering the story.

MAGNA, Utah — Two men have been arrested after allegedly leaving an incendiary device underneath a FOX 13 News vehicle and then forcing an evacuation of a Magna neighborhood when the FBI served an overnight warrant on their home.
 
The men, Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were booked into jail and face multiple charges, including Threat of Terrorism, Possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Possessing Explosive Devices.
 
The device underneath the FOX 13 News vehicle was originally located on Friday and determined to be real. According to officials, the device had been lit but "failed to function."
 
Because of the type of device discovered and where it was located, it was considered a significant threat to public safety, leading the FBI to assume jurisdiction over the case.
During the FBI investigation, the suspects were tracked to a Magna home in the 2700 South block of 8500 West.
 
On Saturday, the FBI served a warrant on the home, along with the Salt Lake City Police Department and Unified Fire bomb squads to make sure no other explosive devices were a danger inside.

According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, both men had a protective orders that prohibits them from possessing firearms.

So what's the real issue here, is it just a misguided person following online radicalization, or was this shooter part of a larger operation to try and force a war between the US and some yet unknown group?
