Nobody on this site thinks he deserved to die except the assassin and we have the right to talk about it and figure out why. I really don't understand why people out there are cheering his death, except that they have no empathy or the younger generation (which they all look like to me) are experiencing something in their lives which I or we just don't understand.

I am pointing out because of some of Kirk's rhetoric that it came across as hate speech to some people and if people here don't want to believe or accept that as fact, then there really can be no going forward for any kind of real understanding or discussion on figuring out how to tackle this problem.

I've met the guy and have had two very constructive conversations in Arizona. By no means is he for violence. He is very much the opposite. But he understands money just as much as he understood the limits of free speech and how to use those limits to engage in uncomfortable conversation.
He also understood the type of environment he lunged himself into. He did not care, and was just as any young adult is, very opinionated. Some times harsh but not past the threshold of hate speech and doing so in a way to get a rise and a good debate.
