The media screwed up the context, but Kirk did reference a bible passage about executing homosexuals.

So Charlie Kirk  actually "referenced a Bible passage" when making a point, where he never said he personally believed Gay people should be stoned and about which Stephen King said: "What he [Kirk] actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages." 


So then you agree with me and Mr. King that Kirk never actually said that he believes Gays should be stoned.
Just wanted to clear that up.
