Bill Gates, COVID, and population control

So I came across this article about population control -
https://digitalcommons.law.villanova.edu...l11/iss1/4 from the year 2000 and as I was reading, Bill Gates gets mentioned about donating to population causes, or as I say - population control.

This sets a alert off in my thinking that Gates has been said to have a "depopulation agenda" and was said to have been given money to big pharma to develop COVID.

October 2019, Bill and Melinda gates host Event 201 (a high level pandemic exercise). Seems kid of coincidental to me.

Bill Gates is a really rich guy. He made his money by selling stuff to people. The more people buy his stuff, the richer he gets (yeah he's still making money even though he's retired). If he got rid of the people, who'd buy his stuff?

Because if you are making money hand over fist from big populations, the last thing you want is for all of it to go away.

I suppose you could live in some fortress somewhere by burning useless cash for warmth, because there'd be nothing to spend it on once production stops. No one to gather resources and crops, no one to ship it around, no-one to prepare it, no one to stock shelves or generate power, or OMG! They'd have to take out their own garbage - all the way to the landfill.

I think the whole depopulation meme is invented by ageing internet trolls who have never worked a job, living on social security, and typing up their end of days fantasies in the low light of their screen in the quiet of mum's basement.

They are probably happy that Trump wants to deport 11 million or so people, too, and is paying about 8 to 9 billion extra a year, of public money, to do so. That's a depopulation agenda, if ever there was one.

Someone else will have to post the clip of Gates actually stating on camera to the vaccine shareholders that  'we can maybe reduce the world's population by 5-10percent'. I can't find it at present.

Zero growth population means holding at whatever level. It doesn't mean depopulation.

I didn't watch any of the rest of the video (honestly, I think there are better things to watch), but I suspect that it has primed you to think that they were talking about depopulation, when they weren't.

I did a search on the quote, and it was a misquote (or rather, an out of context quote) from a TEDx talk Gates gave (not before vaccine shareholders). The topic of the talk was "Innovating to Zero" about reducing worldwide carbon dioxide emissions to zero.

Gates was suggesting that where there is endemic poor health, there is high infant mortality. In societies that have high infant mortality, they normally choose to have many more children, and larger families.

In 1st world countries with good health care, children survive, and so families don't choose to have so many children.

So, with better health outcomes for children in poorer countries, people would naturally choose to have fewer children, which would reduce population, specifically in currently overpopulated countries.
