Yes it was cool but odd, amazing art. A few years ago here in Detroit they had a show downtown. Called body works. It was showing at the Detroit Instite or Art.  It’s all human dead bodies.

I sent you the link. If it’s in your area wow it is something to see. I still feel off from seeing real humans dissected!

I find this all to be extremely fascinating, both from an artistic appreciation and a scientific appreciation.   I would, in particular, like to look at the human body, with all the very delicate nerves and such.

I've known a taxidermist or two in my life, and it is an amazing art, requiring not only a vast amount of patience, but an intricate understanding of musculature, and tendons and other connective tissue.  Add to that the artistic creativity to cause a still representation to suggest movement and life is incredible.   From what I understand, the soft tissue plastic pieces, such as the gums and tongue, and eyes have come a very long way in the last few decades.

Alas, I have a fondness for sour and not much of sweet, so little interest in the cherry pie.   Tongue

The human body is so amazing from a science perspective. Just like the animals. Our body is organized, it is complex, its super gentle yet tough as nails. If I stuck a pin anywhere in your back you would know where right away.

The water that we drink has a massive process. It is filtered, it hydrates our body, it goes in our blood, it helps the brain function, it cools us. The list goes on and on.

It is all amazing art.

I love the Michigan content you are always bringing, however, I was hoping this was more of a paranormal thread talking about ghost animals and such.

Have a gander at these stories about Michigan and the the Great Lakes area. I've got 48 short articles on various subjects of unusual Great Lakes regional history and some essays on other subjects. I'm sure you will enjoy.

Wow, thank you for sharing the amazing articles. Michigan is really beautiful. I love going UP North. It was amazing to see the art of animals without their soul.  I pet a bear without the bite and a deer with no fear!
Be kind to everyone!
