See my comment on it above, just a little below yours and Kurokage's.
It has everything to do with what that someone has been posting about for ages, and others, including your good self.
Common sense and reason seems to have prevailed.
A good thing, no?

Clearly not when you still have Governors and Mayors that told citizens to break the law by interfering with federal agents......

It all seems to have been sorted, if you listen to Homan.

If we're going by the more reasonable notion that placing anyone under arrest who is not fully cooperating with LEO commands(turn around and put your hands behind your back), taking him to the ground would authorize the use of force.
Adding in the fact that the man resisted in any way while having a firearm kicks the level of authorized use of force up several notches.
I get the impression you've been through use of force training just like I have, so you understand that you have to interpret the situation without the advantage of hindsight. It has to be interpreted from the perspective of a reasonable person in the situation itself while only having the same information that the person in that situation would have. A person can go from face down on the ground resisting arrest while still having a firearm accessible to taking a persons life in seconds. I would imagine you also understand how difficult it can be for anyone, even people with a significant amount of training, to interpret every last detail of a situation in the moment with absolute clarity. Then you had in the possibility that the firearm had discharged, as that specific firearm is known to do, the reaction by the agents is more than reasonable. Is it good? Absolutely not. A person lost their life, but the idea that it was an execution is absolute nonsense.
There is no "going by" that is literally what a use of force is, any time an incident occurs where you forcefully touch another you have to fill out use of force paperwork. If you've ever been through it, you would know that. I agree the idea it was an execution is absolute non sense. The use of force happened as soon as he was taken down though and transitioned into deadly use of force but im tired and I no longer remember after several hours why I asked and the issue no longer matters. In a couple weeks there will be a new entertainment that DI will politically blow out of proportion im sure lol

What about nurses calling for citizens to find and poison ICE agents?

Until all of these lunatic fringe stop trying to interfere with federal agents in performance of their duties, things will not get better.

Deplorable.
Quite rightly, she has been fired and Police are investigating.
What about Homan's change in ICE policy?
Do you support that, or not?
Noem seems to have been sidelined.
A good thing?

There was no real "change" in policy, that is what ICE was there to begin with. The only thing that changed that was the escalations from citizens, mayor(s), and governor(s).
Noem being sidelined is nothing for me, I could care less who is doing the job as long as it is actually getting done.
I do however quite enjoy the humor of Homan being a hero under Obama but pure evil under Trump. Well, I guess up until this presser, maybe? Guess we will see how public opinion changes in the coming days

You don't see any change in policy? It's glaringly obvious.
I've never heard of him before this.

I'm rather surprised at that.
He's been a major player in the past.
Him taking over for Noem is a good thing.
She never should have had the job to begin with.
Technically she still has her job, but she's now sitting in a corner.
He's doing it while she keeps her title ... for now.
