Depends on where he was carrying. Even if he was carrying outside the waistband, if it was in a "4 O'clock" or "kidney position" it would be out of sight. Add to that it's Winter and heavy clothing with a long coat and it's much harder to spot.

ETA - That video shows Pretti a week before the shooting. He may not have been carrying that day and it begs the question : Why was he armed at the 2nd encounter ? It's said he had a broken rib from the prior incident, so was he out for vengeance ?

Remember, his family said he never carried, even though he had a permit. Not "sometimes" or "rarely" they said Never.

Nurse or not, that guy anger and control issues.

It wasn't a joke.

Alex Pretti was killed by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents, on the roadside outside of 2610 Nicollete Ave, Minneapolis, Minnesota, a distance of 276.75 miles as the crow flies from the Canadian border.

Renee Good was killed by an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent at at the intersection of Portland Avenue South and East 34th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a distance of 244.25 miles as the crow flies from the Canadian border.

As I previously said, both were miles outside of their jurisdiction and appear to have been working outside of their remit, as well.

Quote:Furthermore all federal and even state agents get a federal background check from the FBI, so maybe you can rest easy with your crazy bs its either that or start believing the entire federal and state government is out to get you, in which if that were true, you'd already be gone

The FBI do not do background checks for ICE agents.

ICE and CBP are under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and are not answerable to the FBI, who are under the Department of Justice (DOJ).

ICE have their own vetting of applicants and recently that vetting process has been called into question.

Some new ICE recruits have shown up to training without full vetting

How do ICE vetting and background check processes work, and where have they failed in the past?

I also have no fear of arrest from any US agency, as I am an Australian citizen who has been resident in New Zealand for more than 21 years, and they have no authority here. I also obey the law, scrupulously.

Im sorry man but you are mistaken, U.S. immigration and customs employees and agents are subject to federal background checks, which include fingerprint-based criminal history checks conducted through the FBI

this is a routine thing for officers literally everywhere in state and federal agencies, ive had one done on myself

I dont think you understand how short 250 miles is in the U.S. also, are you not from here? The U.S. is almost 3,000 miles wide. It takes 9 hours to cross my own state no matter which direction I go except south @ 80 miles per hour. 250 miles you are looking at a 4 hour drive. Could also just be relative though what could be far to you is short to me that kind of thing maybe. Never the less, immigration goes where immigrants are and they are everywhere

It doesnt say specifically FBI but thats who your fingerprints are going to and the background check is usually done by. You will just have to take my word on government procedures. Or not. Up to you but I definitely know. If this isnt happening then heads are for sure going to roll.

ICE has its own vetting division called its Personnel Security Division (PSD) the details are on ICE's web site (which mentions that investigations into employee backgrounds are performed by contracted vendors):

I can assure you that with the adoption of international standards for length, a mile is still exactly a mile, measured anywhere in the world.

Also, Australia is 2,485 miles East to West and 2,290 miles from North to South. I have taken a drive, once, from Sydney to the Top End of Queensland that took several days there, and several days back, at highway speeds. It is not something I have the stamina to ever repeat.

Their 'jurisdiction' is where ever in the United States that the federal government says it is.
They don't have to be sitting on a border.
They can assist law enforcement anywhere.
They operate in all 50 states.  Google it.
Pretti was a violent hard left agitator who was in the habit of taking on ICE agents and doing violence.   He showed up at the last protest carrying a weapon illegally (he had no ID and no permit on him which makes it illegal to carry), and he impeded law enforcement and also resisted arrest while armed which also made his weapon carrying illegal.

FAFO.  He gets the DARWIN award.

"Damning new video shows Alex Pretti, running at ICE agents and screaming in their faces before smashing feds tail lights"

HERE
Quote:New footage shows Alex Pretti taunting ICE agents for carrying pepper spray while daring them to 'soak me, motherf***er' just 11 days before the ICU nurse was fatally shot.  The new perspective comes just hours after Pretti's family confirmed their son was the 37-year-old man spitting at an ICE vehicle before smashing the tail light in the newly unearthed footage.

The video shows Pretti shouting 'f*** you!' at the agents, before yelling: 'What the f*** is wrong with you? Every decision you've made in your life is f***ing wrong!'  He also refers to one of the agents as a 'pepper spray b****' and 'f***ing trash' as they get into their SUVs to leave the premises.   Pretti then yelled: 'F***ing soak me, motherf***er!'

The sound of shattered plastic can then be heard in the footage as the SUV turns away and the damaged tail light is visible.   An agent leaps from the back door as Pretti holds up a middle finger and yells 'f*** you.'
Pretti was a violent lawless asshole .... and a nurse.   Makes you wonder what kind of care he gave to people who disagreed with his politics.

Here's another lawless left wing idiot nurse ...  her advice to people was to get ahold of needles and confront ICE and inject them with anesthetics.   She also talked about purposely infecting them with poison ivy.   Thankfully she got fired.   Makes you wonder about the mentality of these far left lawless agitators and what kind of care these nurses give people who they disagree with.

Nurse  posted videos targeting ice agents with anesthetics

Quote:In the videos, the nurse reportedly talked about different ways to target Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.   She reportedly suggested medical providers carry syringes with an anesthetic in them to cause short-acting muscle paralysis in ICE agents. She also reportedly suggested putting poison ivy in a squirt gun to aim at ICE agents, among other things, she called “sabotage tactics.”
